Hello Stampers - I love Twinkle Trees at Christmas time! Do you?
Well Jess did okay yesterday. She slept a lot which I expected. Today will be the big day as I am sure it will be rough. I am hoping she sleeps a lot again today and if she does I will spend some time in my craft room.
Today I got the idea for my card from my Take Ten magazine. I plan on using that magazine a lot over the next few days as I have to work ahead for the next 2 months since I have a lot going on. I love that magazine to get layouts and ideas.
My card today began with the tag. The original card had a tag on it so I used the idea and my Twinkle Tree stamp set to create my card. I stamped the tree using Garden Green. I then used Cherry Cobbler to stamp the swirls. I mounted this panel onto my Cherry Cobbler tag. I used some of the 1/4" natural trim with gold for the ribbon on the tag. I tied a piece of 1/8" gold ribbon around the natural trim and tied a bow. Now that my tag it made I needed to address the card base. I used a piece of Very Vanilla to make the card base. I attached a piece of This Christmas Specialty designer series paper as a layer. I attached my completed tag to the right hand side using dimensionals. I then used the Merriest Wishes stamp set for my sentiment. I punched it out using the retired Duo Ticket punch. To create my layer I used a piece of Cherry Cobbler and cut it a little bigger than the sentiment layer. I used a retired corner punch to mimic the corners of the sentiment layer but you can do the same using a circle punch. It was also attached to my card base using dimensionals. Here is my completed creation.
