Denim and Sugar

Hello Stampers - I love denim and sugar together!

Our weather has been gorgeous the past few days - a little cooler and little humidity.  Perfect weather for spending time outdoors.  I enjoyed my walk last evening.  It was a comfortable walk and I had lots of time to think about all I have coming up.

Today is a color challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments

I have to admit the Flirty Flamingo threw me for a loop.  Working this color into a card was a challenge.  I had no issue with the Denim and Sugarplum but the Flamingo is really bright.  In order to work it in, I had to go looking for a sketch challenge.  I found one I could use at  Match the Sketch Challenge

I love using the envelope paper as patterned paper.  It is a great way to get matching patterned paper in the new In Colors without having to buy a lot of it.  I decided to use some of the paper for the 2 rectangle elements.  I still needed to work in the Flamingo.  I decided to use the Flourish Thinlits for the horizontal element to work it in.  I then needed the heart elements and the flowers are perfect for that.  Here is my interpretation of the sketch.

I can't wait to see what the other ladies created using these colors.  I really want to see how they used the Flamingo.  Make sure you head on over to the Hand Stamped Sentiments challenge blog to see what the other ladies created using these colors.

Thanks for visiting me today.  I will be in my craft room today working on projects for the rest of the month.  Have a Terrific Tuesday and show me your denim and sugar creation!
