MIO Compadres Lyrical Inspirations blog hop

Today I am hopping with the My Inky Oasis Campadres.   Our theme this month is to create a project based on music/lyrics.

When I saw this challenge I was at a loss for what to do.  In the mean time I got my Swirly Bird stamp set and it has a kite in it.  I started thinking and then it hit me that the Mary Poppins song "Let's Go Fly a Kite" would be perfect to use with the kite image.  I finally had my idea!

I needed to create a sky background so I used my scallop circles template and sponged on my ink.  When I was happy with it, I attached it to my Soft Sky card base.  Next I stamped my 3 kits and cut them out.  The stamp set had the tail and ties in it so I determine where I was going to put my kites and stamped my tails and ties.  I then added my kites to the card front with dimensionals. 

Now I needed a sentiment and I did not have the name of the song so I played with my computer and designed ones that was black with white lettering.  I printed it out on card stock and used dimensionals to add to my card.  My card is complete!  Here is my creation.
