Rainbow Sherbet

Hello Stampers ~ Do you like Rainbow Sherbet?

I hope you had a good week last week and you are ready to tackle the one ahead of you.  Today is a busy day for my.  I have several appointments and a meeting as well as it is preorder day for demos for the new annual catalog.  I have no idea what we will be able to order as we have a limited selection until the catalog goes live for everyone.  There are a few things I have seen others post that I would love to have it they may not be on the preorder.  I am crossing my fingers!

Today is the new challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments.

When I saw these colors I thought of Sherbet.  So I decided to make my own swirled sherbet using paper.  I began with my large teflon mat and added some ink using my Lemon Lime Twist (new In Color), Daffodil Delight, and Watermelon Wonder ink pads.  I spritzed the ink with some water and then using my watercolor paper I set it down in the ink.  I moved the paper around so that the inks would mix.  I picked up the paper several times and checked the ink.  I added more ink by going back to the mat as needed.  When I was happy with the coverage, I set it aside to dry.  After it was dry I could then punch my scoops and cut my strips.  I stamped the sentiment using Memento Tuxedo Black.  I used a 1 inch circle punch to round the ends.  I stamped the cone with Crumb Cake ink and then fussy cut it out.  I mounted my strips and added my cone to a Basic Black background.  Here is my completed creation.

Make sure you check what the other design team members created based on this photo.  You can see their projects at the Hand Stamped Sentiments blog.

Thanks for visiting me today and I hope I inspired you.  I will be busy until around dinner time and then I will have time to breathe.  Have a Terrific Tuesday and did you like my Rainbow Sherbet?
