Sparkle

Happy Friday Stampers ~ I love Sparkle!

It was not a successful day at the yarn store.  I put in 3 rows.  Then I took out 6.  Then I put in 2 rows.  All this happened in the course of 2 hours.  I am hoping I am back on track now and that next week will be more successful!

I have another Remarkable You card today.  The coloring on this one was inspired by my friend Barb.  I took the set with me when I went to North Carolina and she made a bunch of this image in different colors and layouts.  I played with my Copics again for the coloring on this one.  I opted to keep this one as a panel and mount it onto Bermuda Bay.  I added a bow of the retired 1/8" Bermuda Bay ribbon.  The panel was placed on my card base but it needed something.  You know me, it had to have some bling!  So I pulled out my silver glimmer paper and added a strip.  Here is my completed creation.

Thanks for visiting me today and I hope I inspired you.  I have a class this morning and then I will be playing in my craft room.  Have a Fabulous Friday and don't forget to add some Sparkle!

Paper Pumpkin ideas

Hello Stampers ~ I love sharing Paper Pumpkin ideas with you!

Lots going on in the household as Zoie has her dance recital this weekend!  She had picture day and dress rehearsal is coming up.  The program is on Saturday afternoon so I will be spending the afternoon watching her perform.  She is a little ham on the stage and not afraid of the audience at all.  Don't know where she gets that from!  I will share pictures of her in the costume after Saturday.

We got the the June Paper Pumpkin in the mail earlier this week.  I always like to take the ideas and put my spin on them.  I managed to make a few alternate cards and 2 scrapbook pages ~ those will be shared on the weekend.  For the first card I changed it up just a little.  I did not need "Hooray" cards so I used my own sentiment.  I also sponged the edges of the banner with some Melon Mambo ink as it got lost in the background.  Here is the first card which is very similar to the one in the kit.

inside of card and envelope - I used the retired Fresh Fruit set to try and mimic the half slice of grapefruit but it did not turn out like I had hoped.

For the second card I took a piece of Emerald Envy and cut the note card from the kit down.  It was mounted onto the card front.  I then created the panel similar to the original idea but mounted it onto a piece of Melon Mambo.  The banner was sponged with Emerald Envy this time.  Here is the second card.

The kit had treat bags in it and I have no use for treat bags.  As part of the treat bag they had the cutest tissue paper for the insert.  The last card I created used that tissue paper as a background.  I cut the square down and mounted the piece onto a Whisper White card base.  I cut one of the treat bags up and used a strip across the bottom of the card.  The watercolored banner was in the kit so I added it at the top.  The white circle was also in the kit so I stamped the watermelon ~ which was the stamp set in the kit and added my sentiment.  Using the baker's twine from the kit I added a little bow.  This was mounted onto the card front using dimensionals.  Here is the last card.

Thank you for visiting me today and I hope I inspired you.  I am headed to the yarn store today as I missed it last week since I had the girls.  Have a Great Day and do you like my Paper Pumpkin ideas so far this month?

One Color Wonder - Black

Hello Everyone ~ Can you believe my One Color Wonder was Black?

I had one more project that Zoie made that I have not shared.  I did not have a picture of her with the completed project.  She had a good time with the glue on this one and it ended up everywhere!

She had a great time and was very creative all on her own!

My One Color Wonder card is today.  Last week I chose Birthday Blooms and Basic Black.  I was a little worried about what to do with these choices but I think I did a great job with the card.  Here is the card.

Here is the video for the card.

Thanks for visiting me today.  What did you think of my card today?  I think it looks great don't you?  Have a Wonderful Wednesday and why don't you give One Color Wonder - Black a try!

C.A.S.E.ing the Catty ~ For You

Good Morning Everyone ~ this week I am C.A.S.E.ing the Catty ~ For You!

I managed to finish up my Paper Pumpkin scrapbook page and make today's card.  I also made my video for Wednesday.  It was a productive day!  I am hoping today will be just as productive.  I wanted to share

They posted a new challenge at the C.A.S.E.ing the Catty.  This week they are focusing on the Love and Sympathy section, pages 85-101, of the 2017-2108 Annual Catalogue.  Grabbing my catalog, I started looking at that section.  I realized I only had 2 stamp sets from that section.  I found a great card on page 93 of the catalog.

I loved the background so I decided to use that as my inspiration.  Since I only had 2 stamp sets in that section, I chose to use You've Got This.  I stamped the image using black ink and used my Watercolor pencils to color it in.  I did not use water with it but instead used them more like colored pencils.  Next I needed to make my background.  I took a piece of watercolor paper and spritzed it heavily with water.  I used the Melon Mambo reinker to add ink to the wet paper.  I picked it up and tilted it so it could spread.  When needed I added more water.  After it dried I attached it to a Melon Mambo card base.  The sentiment was from Birthday Blooms and was stamped in black.  I punched it out with a 1 1/4" circle punch.  It was mounted onto a 1 3/8" circle punch in Old Olive.  The sentiment and image were added to the card base using dimensionals.  A bow using the 1/8" silver ribbon was added to the stem of the flower.  To finish off the card, some Glitter Enamel Dots were added.  Here is the final creation.

Remarkable Hello

Happy Monday Stampers ~ are you ready for a Remarkable Hello today?

Well I survived the days with the girls.  I am exhausted as they are a bundle of energy and I don't sleep well when Jess is gone.  I will do a few things today but hopefully I can even get a nap in ~ something I never do!  Yesterday we worked on a project for Jess as well as made slime.  Zoie had a blast playing with it.

On Saturday she also worked on a tulip straw project I ran across on Facebook.  Here is her working on cutting out the flowers.

And here is the finished product.

My share today is another card I made using one of the images I colored at the last crop.  This one uses some Copics for the coloring.  I was going for some shading but there is not enough difference in the colors to achieve a good shade.  I am still playing and learning with these as there is a learning curve with them.  After I cut it out, I mounted it onto a layer of Whisper White that I embossed with the Petal Burst embossing folder.  It was mounted with dimensionals.  The card based it Garden Green.  A Dazzling Diamonds 1 1/4" circle was colored using the Crushed Curry reinker and aqua painter.   I stamped the sentiment from Sunshine Sayings  and punched it out with a 1" circle punch.  The senitment was added with dimensionals.  Here is my simple card.
