Frames

Hello Everyone ~ well I have another card for you that uses frames!  I am loving this idea.

I did not get some time in my craft room yesterday.  When I got home from working at the college, I went for my walk.  After that I still had not had dinner.  I worked on my post and ate my dinner.  Today I am headed to the yarn shop for the morning and when I get back this afternoon I will spend some time in there.  I have to finishing cutting for my class tomorrow.

Last week I shared a card I made using a frame. At the time I made several frames so I could use them on upcoming cards.   Today I am sharing one of the cards I made with one of those frames.

I started with the Blushing Bride glimmer paper frame.  I attached it to the front of my card.  I then used the Blossom Bunch punch and punched a bunch of the flowers.  I used a sponge dauber and inked up the edges.  I layered them using glue dots and attached to the card around the frame.  I added a rhinestone in the center and my flowers were done.  I only needed a sentiment.  I used the Thank You as you know I always need thank you cards.  My card was complete.  Here is my finished creation.

Thanks for visiting me today.  What plans do you have for today?  Hope it includes something fun.  Have a Great Day and if you have plans to do something fun in your craft room give frames a try!

Watermelon Thank You

Good Morning Everyone ~ today's card uses the pretty color Watermelon to make a Thank You card.

I have a jam packed day today.  I have an appointment at 9, a workshop at 11:30, and I have to work at the college Open House tonight from 4 to 7.  I am going to be so tired this evening.  Good thing tomorrow is a quiet day!

Our Coloring Down the Lines blog hop is today.  We

Stampin' Up color matches

This picture was perfect for our hop today as everyone is prepping for picnics and fireworks.  I wanted to find a different kind of sketch for today's challenge.  I found a great one at Tuesday Morning Sketches.

I began with the Rose Wonder stamp set.  I stamped the leaf spray and the flower.  I then used the framelits to cut them out.  I did not pay attention, but the framelits do not cut around the shape but rather cuts an outline.  So I had to start again.  I stamped the leaf spray and flower and fussy cut them out.  I then took the framelits and cut them out in Real Red and Mint Macaron.  I sponged the Mint Macaron with the same color ink to make it a little darker.  I then applied Tombow Multipurpose glue to the framelits and added them on top of the stamped images.  I created my main panel  and stamped the sentiment.

Next I used the Wonderful Wreath framelits to cut out one in Crumb Cake.  I then used the circle framelits to cut out the center to create a wreath shape.  I attached it to the card front and slipped one corner into the wreath and attached the rest of the card using dimensionals.  Here is my completed card.

Now it is time to hop on down the lines.  Your next stop if Helen's blog - Blue Dahlia Designs.  I am sure she will have a great project for you.  Make sure you check out her blog.

Thanks for visiting me today.  I will miss not having some time in my craft room.  I have a project I need to start working on as I have a time frame for it.  Have a Wonderful Wednesday and what would your watermelon thank you look like?

Simple Thanks

Hello Stampers ~ are you in need of thank you cards like I am?  I have a Simple Thanks for you today.

I was right in that I did not get into my craft room yesterday.  There was a lot going on and it did not seem like I would have any time to create so I did not stress over it.  Today I have 2 ladies coming in the afternoon and maybe 1 this evening.  I will set up this morning for the afternoon and then regroup and set up for the evening class.

The challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments is a sketch challenge.

I realized on Sunday evening that this sketch was due on Monday.  I went into my craft room and very quickly put my card together.  I played with the Moroccan ds paper for the medallion.  I then needed to make the banner so I chose another ds paper from the pack for it.  I topped it with a strip of Delightful Dijon that I had stamped with a sentiment.  I added a layer that I had embossed with the Woodland textured impressions embossing folder.  I then just put all my layers together and my card was finished.  Here is the completed project.

Thanks for visiting me today.  I will try and take a little time today to make my card for tomorrow.  Wish me luck with all I have going on.  Have a Terrific Tuesday and what Simple Thanks card can you create?

Fun Dies

Good Morning Everyone ~ I love my dies and today I have a card that uses some new fun dies!

I had a great time visiting with my friend yesterday.  We met at Panera and spent the next 4 hours chatting and getting caught up.  We had lunch there and then we sadly said goodbye and each went our own way.  We did set a date for next month so I will look forward to that.

I was checking out my challenge blogs to see what I could find.  They have a fun challenge at Stampin' Royalty.  You were to use your dies to make a project

To Die For!
Make a Project using your Dies!

I have lots of dies that I love.  I just got a set that I wanted to play with.  I cut part of the sentiment out of black.  I mounted a piece of Daffodil Delight ds paper from the Brights Paper Stack onto my card base.  I attached the sentiment to lower portion of the card base.  I then used the "Hello" from the Tin of Cards stamp set and stamped it above the die sentiment.

I used the flower die to cut out one in Garden Green.  I then used a scrap of Rose Red to cut the top of the die out.  I used my Tombow Multipurpose glue to add little dots of glue to the back of each of the die cuts.  When it was dry I attached the flower to the top of the Garden Green die.  I then attached the flower to my card base.  Here is my finished creation.
