Colorful Stencil

Hello Ladies ~ today I have a colorful stencil card to share.  I love the color on this card!

What plans do you have for the weekend?  I have a workshop this morning and then I need to finish up my newsletter and get it mailed out.  Then I want to play and I even want to do some knitting as I have not done that in a while.  If the girls go up to their grandmother's it will be easier.  I have some things I want to play with but I need time and quiet!

I have another card I created for the stencil extravaganza at Card a Day challenge blog.  This was one I wanted to give a try so I decided this was the perfect opportunity to give it a try.  Here are the directions I used.

Tape down your white card stock to a hard surface.  Attach your stencil to it to your hard surface overtop the white card stock.  Use some Embossing Paste and an old credit card to spread the paste all over the card stock.  Gently pull off the stencil and immediately clean off the paste under running water.  Set the card stock aside to dry over night.  The next day, take the card stock and using Daffodil Delight, Tempting Turquoise, and Rich Razzleberry ink apply to the card front using a make up sponge.  I spritzed it with water and allowed to dry.  Once dry, remove the tape and used a paper trimmer to cut down the card stock.  I mounted it onto a piece of  Basic Black card stock cut a little larger than the white piece with Tear & Tape.  These layers were added to a white card base.  I used Whisper White craft ink to stamp my sentiment from the Fresh Fruit stamp set and heat set using Whisper White embossing powder.  Use the Curvy Corner Trio punch to punch opposite corners of the sentiment strip.  I added it to the lower right hand corner using dimensionals.  I pulled out some of my black glimmer paper and the Bold Butterfly Framelits to cut out a butterfly.  I attached it to the upper left hand corner of the card base using dimensionals.

Here is my completed creation!

I had hoped to have the supplies used to create my card but I had to download a new catalog.  After 1/2 hour it is still downloading.  Not sure where the problem is as we have high speed internet and pay for it.  Need to find out if it is our end or Metrocast's!

Thanks for visiting me today.  I am really hoping I can get some time to knit today as I am quite a bit behind on my mystery knit-along.  Have a Super Saturday and I hope you enjoyed my Colorful Stencil today!
