Washi Tape Thanks

Hello Stampers - today I use some washi tape as an element to create a washi tape thanks card.

Well I missed the sunshine yesterday.  I thought it was supposed to be sunny and warm.  Did I miss that forecast.  It rained all day.  Did not matter as I spent the day working on my Summer Pocket Letter.  I need to have it ready to mail out and I got it finished.  I will share it when the person receives it.

Today I used the sketch challenge at Create with Connie and Mary

I thought the 3 horizontal elements would be perfect for washi tape.  I have a lot of it and love using it as an element on my card.  While I did do 3 horizontal strips of washi tape, I reversed the size as I wanted the green to be at the top.  I also stamped my flower and did some shaded coloring.  After I had it colored I cut it out and mounted it on my card.  I then stamped Thanks from the Tin of Cards set.  While stamping it I had some ink on my block that got on my card.  I decided to find a stamp set that I could use to hide the ink.  I found the perfect stamp in the October 2015 Paper Pumpkin.  I stamped it on a piece of Watermelon Wonder and cut it out.  I mounted it on top of the ink smear.  My card was complete!  Here is the finished creation.

Thanks for visiting me today.  I am hoping the weather will be better today so I can go outside and work in my flower beds a little.  With all the rain we have had it should be easy to pull all the weeds!  I will also be doing some recording.  Have a Marvelous Monday and pull out your washi tape to create your own washi tape thanks card!

I love the washi tape background Robbie and your 'falling petals' are the perfect cover-up for your ink smear - we would have been none the wiser had you not graciously shared your faux-pas :-) Thanks for joining us over at Create With Connie and Mary this week!

If you hadn't shared it with us, we'd have never known! That little petal looks like it was meant to be there! Thanks for joining us at Create with Connie and Mary!
