Floral Thanks

Hello Ladies!

Wow the weather has been crazy.  We had 80 degree weather on Friday and yesterday it was in the low 50's.  Today is supposed to be about the same.  You would never know it was Spring!

Today is Zoie's birthday party.  She has requested a Batman theme.  We made Batman mask cupcake toppers, a bat mobile, and Jess spray painted boxes to make a city at night.  The cupcakes are chocolate and not sure about the icing.  I will share pictures tomorrow.

I took some time yesterday to work on some cards for my blog this week.  I had hoped to keep ahead but Jess solicited my help with the decor items for Zoie's party.  Thank heaven I have a Silhouette!  I would not have wanted to cut our the masks and bats by hand.  Knowing I was limited on my time as I also helped with babysitting Remi, I went looking for sketch and color challenges to use for my cards.  Today's card began with the sketch challenge at Freshly Made Sketches

Do you have a lot of patterned paper?  I know I do.  I decided to see if I could use some of it for this sketch.  The paper worked out perfectly!  I had some of the Birthday Bouquet designer series paper and I used 2 patterns.  I wanted a nice Thanks sentiment and I did not have one so I pulled out a retired set.  I then used my banner punch to punch the ends.  To me it needed something so I added a couple of candy dots in the upper right corner.  I added the sentiment banner with dimensionals.  Here is my completed card.

Thanks for visiting me today.  I will be busy with Remi while Jess works on the party.  I hope to be able to relax and enjoy the party myself.  Have a Sensational Sunday!

What a great card! I love the mix of patterned papers you've used! They're so sweet! We've had crummy weather too! Was bright and sunny last week and now it's snowing...ugh! Thanks for joining us this week at Freshly Made Sketches!
