Punch Are for Zoie - ghost

Hello Everyone!

Well today is my last day for Halloween punch art.  I am sure Zoie has enjoyed getting my cards.  Now I need to be on the look out for some great Thanksgiving cards for her.  If you see some, let me know.

My card today was inspired by a treat holder by Kim Score.  I loved the ghost she used on the side and decided to use it as my inspiration.  It was pretty easy to make but did take some drying time as it has a lot of Dazzling Diamonds on it.  Here is my version of her ghost.

She will love the ghost as it is very sparkly and she is into sparkles.  I hope you enjoy your Halloween and you are ready for the trick-or-treaters.  Thanks for looking and have a Great Day!

Coloring Down the Lines - Garden Green

Happy Midweek Stampers!

I have got to head upstairs and clean up the bedroom Jess and Chris will use when they move in at the end of November.  I still have a few things to go through and find a place for or donate.  I think i will head up there this afternoon.

Today is our Coloring Down the Lines blog hop.  This week our choices were

Garden Green, Calypso Coral, Soft Sky

                         OR
Garden Green, So Saffron, Melon Mambo

For some reason the first set of colors were speaking to me so I went with them.

I hosted a Chat and Challenge on the SUDSOL site and my challenge was to create a project that used circles and ovals in celebration of pumpkins.  I decided to use this idea as well as the sketch from Clean & Simple.  It was from last week but I liked it.

If you have not checked out the blog you are missing out on some great simple sketches.   Here is what I created for the challenge.

I am using a lot of my retired paper up making envelopes.  My goal is to cut the paper and make the envelopes and have them ready to choose rather than looking for paper and making the envelope after I make the card.

Are you ready to see what the other ladies created using these colors?  I am, I wonder if anyone will make a Halloween card.  Head on over to Amanda's blog - Our Crafty Playdate to see which colors she used and what she created.

Thanks for looking and have a Wonderful Wednesday!

Technique Tuesday - Faux Cloisonne

Hello Stampers!

It is getting close to end of the month and I realized I had not played with the Technique Tuesday technique challenge.  This month the challenge was Faux Cloisonne.  If you have not tried head on over to the blog and watch the video Mynnette made showing how to do it.

I have to admit since you use catalogs for this technique I was a little stumped as to how I was going to participate.  Then last week I got a Lands End catalog and knew I could use it.  Here is the card I created using the technique.

Don't you love that envelope?  I used the new envelope punch board and made it.  It took some planning to get the trees to come out straight up but I was able to do it.

Thanks for looking and have a Terrific Tuesday!

Technostamper Fall

Good Monday Morning!

Well I had such a great weekend!  I spent a lot of time crafting which I needed badly.  Got lots of cards made for my blog.  :)

Today at the Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge Mary Jo gave us a fun sketch.

I have been a kick lately to make Fall cards and this was perfect for that.  I love the little tag and decided to begin with an ATC.  Then all I had to do was finish off the card base.  If you have not made any ATC's they are a lot of fun and very easy to turn into a card.  Here is my creation.

I hope you enjoyed my card today.  Are you making Fall cards?  Pretty soon we will need to switch to Christmas cards as it is right around the corner.  Thanks for looking and have a Marvelous Monday!

Festive Flurry with lots of bling!

Hello Stampers!

I had a lovely surprise last evening.  A very dear friend called me and asked me over for dinner.  We had a great time chatting and she served a fabulous meal.  If you have not spent some time with a great friend lately, call them up and plan something!

My card today was made for a stamp set challenge at SUDSOL.  We were to use the Festive Flurry stamp set.  I knew I wanted to do this challenge as I love this set.

I went looking for a sketch as I was limited on time.  I found a good one at Clean & Simple

I had some of the Winter Frost designer series paper so I took my colors from it. I then added some more bling with some silver glimmer paper, the Frosted Finishes embellishments, and some rhinestones.  Here is what my finished card looked like.

inside of card and envelope

Did you notice my envelope?  That paper is Christmas paper from a couple of years ago.  I used our new Envelope Punch Board to make it.  I think it matches my card perfectly.  I am hoping to use up some of my paper from the past years as envelopes.  If you don't have the punch board you really need it.  I will be using it for other projects also as it makes lots of other things besides envelopes.

Hope you enjoyed my card today!  Thanks for looking and have a Sensational Sunday!

Truly Thanks!

Good Morning Ladies!

I hope you are having a great weekend!  Do you have some plans for today?  Make sure you set aside some time to play!

My card today is for the CASE challenge at SUDSOL.  We were to CASE the card in our Stampin' Success magazine on page 17.  Here is the card.

When I stamped the background I did not like it in the landscape position so I changed my card up to be portrait.  Here is my take on the card.

inside of card and envelope

I love how this card turned out.  How about you?  I also like the stamped leaves on the inside of the card.

Well I have a million things to get finished today.  Wish me luck as I don't think there are enough hours in a day for all of them.

Thanks for looking and have a Super Saturday!

Sketch Frenzy Friday - Pennant Christmas

It's Friday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And I am so glad.  Another hectic week and I have a ton of things to do this weekend.

I had mentioned several months ago that I had something I was dealing with and I could not say anything until later.  My daughter and son-in-law were going to be moving.  My son-in-law is a Marine and was going to be re-stationed.  I had decided that I could not be to far away from Zoie so I was going to move also.  I just did not know where as he had not gotten his orders yet.  We had some ideas of where he might go but nothing was certain.  Well he got his orders and guess what?  He is staying in this area.  Now I am preparing for them to move in with me until they get a house.  Can you say major reorganizing on my part?  I have lived in my house by myself for over 5 years so my crafting has taken over.  I have my work cut out for me.

Friday is our Sketch Frenzy Friday sketch challenge.  This week our sketch was created by Deb Currier.

I have been a kick lately to use up my designer series paper.  When I saw this sketch it reminded me of one of my cards from my Christmas stamp-a-stack.  I decided to use the idea with this sketch.  Here is what I created for this challenge.

So are you going to play with us?  Head on over to the Sketch Frenzy Friday blog to see what the other designers created using this sketch.  Then play along with us!  We would love to see what you create.  Thanks for looking and have a Fabulous Friday!

Zoie's Punch Art - witch

Good Morning Stampers!

Well our weather turned cooler here.  Perfect sweater weather and to curl up with a big bowl of soup.  I am on the look out for some crock pot soups so if you have some good ones, send them my way!

My card today is the next one I am sending to Zoie.  I saw this idea on Pinterest and knew I had to make it.  It is so cute.  I did modify mine to make it my own.  Here is what I created.

I am curious to see what she says about this one as there are some life size witches a few house down from her and she does not like them.  I am sure this one will be fine with her.

I am hoping to spend some time cleaning my craft room and playing this weekend.  What are your plans?  Thanks for looking and have a Great Day!

Coloring Down the Lines - Elegant Eggplant

Happy Wednesday Everyone!

Today we have our Coloring Down the Lines blog hop.  This week our colors are much easier than last week - we all commented it was a difficult set of colors.  Our choices this week were

Elegant Eggplant, Island Indigo, Basic Gray

                              OR

Elegant Eggplant, Always Artichoke, Sahara Sand

I decided to go with the second set of colors as the first set of colors were all dark.  I wasn't sure what I was going to do.  I knew I wanted a Sahara Sand base card and I wanted to use the Six Sided Sampler.  After that I just started playing.  Here is what I created using my set of colors.

inside of card and envelope

It is hard to see but the inside of the card has the swirl and the hexagon dotted shape.  I wanted a subtle look and I think it was too subtle to photograph.  I also used some alcohol ink dye to color my ribbon.  I think I need to add more re-inker though as it is not dark enough.  It was dark when it was wet but it dried lighter.  I will play with it until I get the nice dark color I want.

So are you ready to see what the other ladies created with these colors?  Head on over to Amanda's blog - Our Crafty Playdate to see which colors she chose and what she created using them.  Thanks for looking and have a Wonderful Wednesday!

Hand Stamped Sentiments - Everything Eleanor

Hello Stampers!

I have a busy day today.  I have my retirement village ladies this morning and my graduate class this evening.  My ladies love making cards.  I go once a month and they make 3 cards each time.

Over at Hand Stamped Sentiments the sketch this week was created by me.

This is a clean sketch so we would love to have you join us this week.  I saw a post on one of my groups where they are using their themed designer series paper for creations other than the theme of the paper.  I am playing with that idea also as I seem to have a lot of paper left over after the holiday it was intended for.  I am hoping to avoid that this year.  Wish me luck.

For my card today I used some of the Sweater Weather designer series paper.  Here is what I created using my sketch.

inside of card and envelope

I just realized it is hard to see but I added a rhinestone to the middle of the flower.  I would love to have you try my sketch.  Please consider playing along with us over the next 2 weeks.

Thanks for looking and have a Terrific Tuesday!

Techno Late Night - Fall

Happy Monday Everyone!

Well I had a productive relaxing weekend!  I got my cards made for this week, worked on my graduate classes, and even did some knitting.  I really needed it!

This week at Late Night Stampers we had a Fall challenge.  We were to create a Fall card or scrapbook page.  In my last order I got some colored embossing powder that I wanted to play with.  I decided to use it with the Field Flowers outline image.  I checked out the sketch challenge at Mary Jo's Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge and knew it would be perfect for the image.

I also wanted to use some of my ds paper as soon it will be retired.  For this one I used the Sweater Weather paper.  Here is what I created - a clean and simple card.

inside of card and envelope

Don't you think this image is perfect for embossing in color?  I love how it turned out.  I had hoped to use it with some leaves but I do not have the Gently Falling set.  I may have to play with the Wonderfall set.

So are you going to join us on either of these challenges?  We would love to have you play with us!  Thanks for looking and have a Marvelous Monday!

Trick or Treat CASE

Hello Everyone!

Well we start another week - another week closer to Christmas.  Have you begun your Christmas shopping yet?  Time is running out.  Keep in mind you can always make some hand crafted items to give as gifts.  People love getting them.

My share today is another card I made for the SUDSOL CASE challenge.  We used the card on page 27 of the demo magazine.

I loved the look of this card.  I thought it would be fun to use my Witches Brew Designer Series paper and make a Halloween card.  Here is my version of the card.

So what could you do with CASEing this card?  It is lots of fun to CASE.  I hope you have some fun planned for today.  Thanks for looking and have a Sensational Sunday!

Spidery Trick or Treat

Good Morning Ladies!

Well I took my first yoga class night.  It was very relaxing and an easy class as I really need to ease into it.  After it was over I was a little sore but it really made me realize how much I need to exercise.  If my life would just slow down a little I would gladly start walking again.  I guess I am going to have to really try hard to at least walk a few days a week.

My card today was for the SUDSOL sketch challenge.  It was a clean sketch so I went with a quick card.  I so did not know the spider web embossing folder had retired.  What a shame as it is perfect for Halloween.  Here is my quick card.

I hope you enjoyed my card today.  Thanks for looking and have a Super Saturday!

I so need this weekend!  I have been busy this week but I am finished with some of my commitments so I can breathe!

Friday is our Sketch Frenzy Friday challenge.  This week our sketch was created by Kim Innis.

When I saw this sketch I thought of Fall so I went with it.  I had not used my Wonderfall stamp set recently so I pulled it out and used it.  I created a simple card and I love the look of it.  I think I will use this one in my workshop next month as I know my ladies will love it.  Here is my creation.

Zoie's punch art - clean and simple

Hello Everyone!

I am so far behind this is going to be a quick post.

Since I am behind I wanted a quick card.  I went looking on Pinterest and found a few different spiders that were cute.  I used a couple of ideas to make mine.  I added it to a spider web embossed card and I was done.  Here is what her card looks like for this week.

I hope you enjoyed my quick card today.  Make sure you come back tomorrow to see my card.  Thanks for looking and have a Great Day!

Coloring Down the Lines - Crushed Curry

Happy Mid-week Everyone!

Well stampers I have to say I think most of us in the blog hop struggled with our colors this week.  I believe I have said before that I am not thrilled with the color combos in this Color Coach.  I find myself using other resources for my color combos.

This week our color choices were:

Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie, Melon Mambo

                              OR

Crushed Curry, Island Indigo, Real Red

When I saw these colors I thought about using a Crushed Curry card base and then incorporating the other 2 colors as stamped images on the card.  I thought I would check out my sketch challenge blogs to see if I could find a sketch that would work.  I found a great sketch at Clean and Simple Stamping

Now that I have my sketch I had to find some images.  I looked through my catalog and found 2 sets I could use.  Here is what I created using the second set of colors.

inside of card and envelope

So what do you think of this color combination?  Not as bad as I thought it would be.  Are you ready to see what the other ladies created using one of these combinations?  Your next stop on the blog hop is Amanda at Our Crafty Playdate.  I am sure she was creative with her project.  Thanks for looking and have a Wonderful Wednesday!

October workshop card - My Friend

Hello Ladies!

Wow I was so busy the past 2 days.  We made a huge dent in the upstairs rooms.  I still have some things to go through but once I get it cleaned out the upstairs will be ready for Jess' family to move in.   I don't know how long they will be here but I will have a full house between the people and pets.

Cathy Partlis shared a halloween card on one of the forums I am in that I thought was cute.  I decided to modify it and use Fall colors on my card.  I thought it would be a good one to use for my October workshop also. Here is my CASE of her card.

I hope you liked my card today.  It is a quick and easy card to mass produce.  Thanks for looking and have a Terrific Tuesday!

Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge

Good Morning Ladies!

Well I realized late last night that I totally missed my post for yesterday.  Jess has been here and we have been getting the upstairs ready for them to move in while they wait for housing.  Got a lot accomplished yesterday but I still have a lot to do before they get here.

Today Mary Jo at Techno Stamper  gave us an interesting sketch to work with.  I had an idea of what I wanted to do and went to work.

I looked at the sketch earlier as I thought about what I was going to do and later in the day when I started working on it I did not review it.  When you see my sketch you will probably think I should have.  Here is what I came up with.

inside of card and envelope

Notice the envelope.  I used the new envelope punch board to make it.  Love how quick I can make my envelopes now.  I hope you will head on over to the Techno Stamper blog to see what the other ladies on the team created.  Then grab your supplies and join us!  We would love to see your interpretation of this sketch.

Thanks for looking and have a Marvelous Monday!

October workshop card - Wonderfall

Hello Ladies!

Well I had a great day yesterday.  I spent the whole day working on my design team commitments for the Stamp Academy session.  I am excited to be designing for them.  I had to do several projects for them and I have my projects almost finished.  I will finish them up today so I can mail them off on Monday.

I needed anther card for my workshop so I went surfing the internet to see what I could find.  There was a great idea on the Stampin' Connection site for demos for a card.  I checked out the card by Shoni Matney and here is my interpretation of her card.

I hope you were inspired by my card today.  Grab your supplies and create on this rainy Saturday!

Sketch Frenzy Friday - Hi!

It's Friday!!!!!!!!!!!

I am so ready for the weekend!  It has been a busy crazy week and I need some down time.  I need to finish up some design commitments.  Jess and Zoie are coming down also so it will be a busy weekend.

Friday is our Sketch Frenzy Friday sketch challenge .  This week our sketch was created by Tammy Fite.

I wanted to use some of my patterned paper for some of the elements.  I pulled out all the designer series paper I have and decided to use Epic Day This And That.  Here is what I created using this sketch.

inside of card and envelope

I had not used my butterflies in a while and it was fun creating with them.  We would love it if you would head on over to the Sketch Frenzy Friday blog and check out what the design team created using this sketch.  This would be a great sketch to play with us.  We would love to have you join us!

Thanks for looking and have a Fabulous Friday!
