Techno Stamper Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge

Good Morning Ladies!

Wow that title is a mouthful!  Every once in a while I struggle for a title.  This week I was brain dead and could not think.  This is what I cam up with.

Mary Jo at Techno Stamper  gives us a great sketch each week.  This week we had a clean and simple sketch.

Since the sketch was a clean an simple one I decided to keep my card clean - not sure how simple it is.  I thought of the Hello Doily background stamp when I saw the lacy background.  Since I had not played with it for a while, I pulled it out to use on my card.  I also wanted a different shape other than a butterfly so I decided to do a layering of a flower.  Here is my interpretation of the sketch.

I hope you enjoyed my card today.  Check out what the other design team members did with the sketch by heading over to Techno Stamper.   Then grab your stamps and play along with us.  We would love to see your interpretation.  Thanks for looking and have a Marvelous Monday!

Shaving Cream shapes for Fall

Hello Ladies!

I hope you are having a great weekend!  I have done some playing but today I really need to buckle down and plan for my classes this week.

There was as Design Challenge at Sudsol.  Last week there was a color challenge.  We were to use "fall colors" - Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive and Early Espresso together. We could add white, vanilla and black for our neutral.

I decided to use a new technique from Technique Junkies and use the colors from the challenge at Sudsol.  Here is my creation using these 2 challenges.

I hope you enjoyed my card today.  I had fun playing with the colors and shaving cream.  Thanks for looking and have a Sensational Sunday!

Sudsol CASE Challenge - A Round Array

Hello Ladies!

I had a great day yesterday.  I played  all day.  It felt so good.  I had not played just to play in quite a time.  Now I have to play catch up with my classes but it was worth it.

I did a CASE challenge over at SUDSOL.  We were to CASE the card in the Stampin' Success.

I decided to use my gingham wheel to create the background.  I did not have a printed window sheet so I used vellum.  Here is my interpretation of the card.

I am not sure about this one.  I guess we all make a card every once in while that we are not thrilled with.  Thanks for looking and have a Super Saturday!

Sketch Frenzy Friday - Evergreen

Happy Friday Everyone!

I am so excited!  I have a play date with another demo friend today.  I so needed a play date as I have been working a lot lately and barely getting time to play with paper.  It will be so much fun spending the day playing!

Friday is our Sketch Frenzy Friday challenge day.  This week I did the sketch.

I created this sketch some time ago.  Not sure what I had in mind when I made it but when I looked at it to make my card I saw a Christmas Tree as the left side element.  I decided to go with that idea.  I recently got the Evergreen set which is on the carry over list.  I knew I could use it and cut it out for the tree.  For the element in the upper right, I wasn't sure what I was going to do and then it hit me.  What goes with Christmas Trees but presents so I decided to do a little punch art present for the upper corner.  Here is what my final project looked like.

inside of card and envelope

I kept the inside of my card simple as it would allow a place to stamp a sentiment and write a little note.  Do you see the decorations on the tree?  Those are our new candy dots.  I love them!  So much fun for adding a little embellishment without making the card bulky.  So, are you ready to see what the other ladies on the design team created using my sketch?  Head on over to the Sketch Frenzy Friday blog and check it out.  I would love to have give my sketch a try and play with us!  If you do be sure to share it with us on the blog.

Thanks for looking and have a Fabulous Friday!

Zoie's Punch Art - Tinkerbell

Good Morning Stampers!

I hope you have some fun plans for today!  Our weather is fabulous right now and it is so good to be outside and enjoying it before it turns on us.

Thursday's are when I share my punch art card for Zoie.  Last week when she got Minnie Mouse - mom is a single mom right now as dad is in class in San Diego so she does not get the mail every day - Zoie called me as she loved it.  She has not gotten Goofy yet so I am curious to see what she says about that on.  In keeping with the Disney theme I decided to see if I could find a Tinkerbell.

I saw a photo on Pinterest where they had used the Pop 'n Cuts dress form die to make the sheath she wears.  So now I only needed to find the body.  When I did a search for Tinkerbell punch art a tutorial for a fairy by Kim Score came up.  I used her tutorial to design my card.  Here is Zoie's card I made for her.

I did not decorate the inside as I was not sure what I was going to do.  I also put her on a wobble so she swings back and forth.  Zoie loves when her cards move.  Hope you enjoyed my card today.  Thanks for looking and have a Great Day!

Coloring Down the Lines - Always Artichoke

Hello Ladies!

For some reason I could not get going yesterday.  All day I felt like I was lagging behind.  I was so glad when the day was over.

Today is our Coloring Down the Lines blog hop.  This week our choices were

Always Artichoke, Wisteria Wonder, Crumb Cake

                                   OR

Always Artichoke, So Saffron, Cajun Craze
I have to say I was drown to the first set of colors.  I knew I wanted to make a fall card and I love purple on these cards so I went with the first set of colors. Here is what I created using those colors.

inside of card and envelope

I have to say this was a hard card to photograph.  You really can't see the different colors.  I also discovered I like a darker purple on my Fall cards.  The Wisteria is too light.  I may remake this card and use different colors.

Now it is time for you to hop on down the line and see which colors Amanda at Our Crafty Playdate chose to use and what she created.  I am sure you will love what she created.
Thanks for looking and have a Wonderful Wednesday!

Card set class - Five Way Flower

Hello Ladies!

Well our weather has turned chilly.  Yesterday it did not even reach 70.  It was chilly all day.  It is supposed to at least get in the 70's the rest of the week.  That is good as I am not ready for it to get too cold just yet.

My card today is another card we did in our Card Set Class.  We used the Five Way Flower for all the cards.  There was a variety of different looks in each of the cards.  For this card I took my inspiration from Susan.  Here is my interpretation of her card.

inside of card and envelope

I hope you enjoyed my card today.  Why don't you pull out the Five Way Flower and create something to share with me.  I would love to see it.  Thanks for looking and have a Terrific Tuesday!

Late Night Techno with pearls

Good Monday Morning!

This week at Late Night Stampers we have a Bling It Up challenge.  We were to use rhinestones or pearls.  Since I usually use rhinestones, I decided to use pearls on my card today.

Mary Jo has a fun sketch for us this week at Techno Stamper.  It is a clean and simple one.

I decided to use a stamp set and create my own background.  I chose a set I could use my pearls with.  Here is what I created.

Are you going to play along with us?  We would love to see what you do with your bling.  And Mary Jo's sketch is so fun.  Grab your supplies and play with us.

Thanks for looking and have a Marvelous Monday!

Card set class - Five Way Flower

Good Morning Ladies!

How many of you had heavy rains last night?  We had rain that was heavy at times.  I am not sure how much we got but I have a feeling it was quite a bit.

I was planning my card set class for September using the Five Way Flower.  I found a card on Pinterest that led me the blog where I found one liked.  This card was inspired by Scrap'N'Bake.  Here is what I created using her card.

I hope you enjoyed my card today.  I love these colors together.  Thanks for looking and have a Sensational Sunday!

September Workshop Card - Tags 4 You

Hello Everyone!

Well we are supposed to get rain today.  Perfect day to spend some time crafting.  I plan on spending a little time doing that as I have not been able to do so in quite some time.

My card today was inspired by a card created by Gail Etchie.  She created a card for a challenge on SUDSOL and used the new Thinlets card dies we have out.  I do not have the Thinlets yet but I thought about using a gate fold card to achieve a similar look.  I liked the way this card turned out so I used it in my September workshop.  Here is what I created.

My ladies loved this card.  It is actually easier than it looks.  I hope you try a gate fold card as they are fun.  Thanks for looking and have a Super Saturday!

Sketch Frenzy Friday - Festive Flurry

Hello Stampers!

Well it is Friday and I am so glad.  I have finished my Fall student teacher observations so things should settle down a bit.  I am hoping to get back into regular crafting as I have missed it.

Friday is our Sketch Frenzy Friday sketch challenge.  This week our sketch was created by Patrice Herrera.

I loved the clean simple lines of her sketch so I kept my card clean and simple also.  I love the look of this card and it is simple enough that I think I will use it in one of my workshop.  Here is what I created.

inside of card and envelope

As you can see from the above picture my yellow is back.  Not sure what I did with the setting on this one.  May need to lower them more.

I hope you will head on over to the Sketch Frenzy Friday blog to see what the other ladies created with this sketch.  Then grab you supplies and join us using this simple sketch.  Lots of possibilities!

Thanks for looking and have a Fabulous Friday!

Zoie's Punch Art - Goofy

Hello Everyone!

Well I knew sooner or later I would mess up.  I totally forgot to schedule my post last night.  I am doing it now as I wanted you to see the punch art for this week.

When we went to Disneyland, another character Zoie saw was Goofy.  She was not too certain of him though and would not get close.  I think cause he is so tall and strange looking and acting.  I went looking and found my inspiration on Pinterest.  Here is my version of the card.

inside of card and envelope

I am curious to see what she says when she sees this one.  I don't know if she will recognize him or not.  I am on the hunt for a Daisy Duck as she loves Daisy.  Anyone that sees a good one, let me know!

Thanks for looking and have a Great Afternoon!

Coloring Down the Lines - Tempting Turquoise

Hello Stampers!

Our Coloring Down the Lines blog hop is today.  We have a short one as everyone was busy this week.  Our colors this week were

Tempting Turquoise, Real Red, Tangerine Tango

                                   OR
Tempting Turquoise, Rich Razzleberry, Pumpink Pie
I was not certain which color choice I was going to use this time.  So I needed some inspiration.  I decided to check out my challenge blogs.
I found a "Just Frame It" challenge at Just Add Ink and decided to use some frames. Once I wanted to use the frame idea I went looking at my designer series paper and found that Venetian Romance had Tangerine Tango so I decided to go with the first set of colors.

I then liked the sketch challenge at Utah Divas International and thought they would be great for the frames so I used it.
UDISC258 9/14/13

I also wanted to use the technique challenge at Technique Time Tuesday  which was faux silk.  I used that technique on the "My Friend" and top panels.

Here is what I created using all of those challenges.

inside of card and envelope

Usually for the faux silk you use black ink but I wanted to use colored for a twist.  The only thing you have to be careful about is that your ink is not too wet as it will bleed on your tissue paper if it is.

Are you ready to see what the other ladies created?  Hop on down to Carols's Cards to see what Carol created using one of these color combos.

I hope you enjoyed my card today.  Thanks for looking and have Wonderful Wednesday!

September Workshop card - Blooming with Kindness

Hi Ladies,

Oops forgot to do the post last night so this will be quick.

I needed another card for my September workshop.  I got my inspiration for my card from Brenda Quintana.  When I saw her lovely card I knew I wanted to try it with Fall colors.  Here is the other card the ladies made.

Hope you are inspired by Brenda's card also and will make a fall card.  Thanks for looking and have a Terrific Tuesday!

Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge - 5 Way Flower

Good Monday Morning Everyone!

Well I don't know about where you are but we had gorgeous weather all weekend!  Cool and sunny - my kind of weather!  I hope you had some nice weather where you are so that you had the opportunity to enjoy your weekend.

Monday is Mary Jo's Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge.  Here is the sketch she gave us this week.

I loved this sketch.  I thought it would be a great one to use for one of my cards from my Card Set class this weekend.  We are using the 5 Way Flower for our cards this weekend.  Here is one of the cards they will make using this sketch.

inside of card and envelope

My ladies are excited to make this card.  They love this stamp and can't wait to use it and all the punches that go with it.  How about you do you have this stamp and the punches?

Mary Jo' sketch this week is a great one.  We would love to have you play along with us.  Make a card using the sketch and share it with us using the link above.

Plum Betsy's Blossom

Good Morning Everyone!

Well I had a great time with Jess and Zoie this weekend.  We played a lot and she is so much fun!  Her speech is unbelievable for a 2 year old - but then again I am a proud grandmother.

I wasn't certain what I was going to do for a card today.  My posts for this weekend had to change as I did not have all the cards from my swap yet.  I went looking at my challenge blogs and found one I wanted to give a try.  For my card today I used the sketch from the Clean and Simple blog

I loved this layout.  I thought it would be fun to play with.  Here is what I created for this challenge.

I had not used the bird in quite a while so I thought it would be fun to use it for the larger element.  I hope you enjoyed my card today.  Thanks for looking and have a Sensational Sunday!

Red Hot CCMC Flower Shop

Hello Everyone!

Well I had a surprise visit yesterday.  Jess and Zoie came down to spend the night.  Jess is going through some of her things here at the house as she prepares to move again.  They don't know where they are going yet.  Chris is in school and he should find out in a few weeks where they will be stationed next.  Lots of changes going on right now and I am a little worried about how far away they will be.  :(

My card today started with the  sketch challenge at Red Hot Stampers sketch challenge

After I had my sketch I decided to find a color challenge to use to play along with some of my challenge blogs.  I found a fun color challenge at Create With Connie and Mary

CCMC268

Here is what I created for both of the challenges.

I love Soft Sky but I think I need re-ink my pad again.  I just did it but I am thinking it is really dried out.  I hope you enjoyed my card today.  Thanks for looking and have a Super Saturday!

Sketch Frenzy Friday - Truly Grateful

Happy Friday Ladies!

I am so ready for the weekend!  I am going to spend a lot of time crafting this weekend as I have not had time over the past 2 weeks and I so miss it.  It will be gook to have inky fingers!

Friday is our Sketch Frenzy Friday sketch challenge.  This week Kim Innis gave us our sketch.

This was an interesting sketch.  I had borrowed the Truly Grateful set so I decided to use the wheat image from it for my interpretation.  Here is what I created for this challenge.

inside of card and envelope

I used some retired ds paper to make the envelope.  Make sure you head over to the Sketch Frenzy Friday blog to see what the other ladies on the design team created using this sketch.  Thanks for looking and have a Fabulous Friday!

Coloring Down the Lines

Good Morning Ladies!

I am a little late today and I apologize.  When I got home from my class last night I sat down in my chair and fell asleep.  I woke up later and went to bed.  Never even thought about the blog hop for today.  I remembered this morning and jumped on here quick to set it up.

Our Coloring Down the Lines hop this week uses the color Tangerine Tango.  Here were our color choices.

Tangerine Tango, Tempting Turquoise, Old Olive

                                              OR

Tangerine Tango, So Saffron, Pacific Point

I wasn't feeling the first set of colors for some reason but the second set said happy to me.  I went with that and this is what I created.

Since the colors said happy to me I chose an appropriate sentiment.  Are you ready to hop on down the lines?  Your next stop is Amanda at My Crafty Playdate.  I am sure you will enjoy her creation.  Thanks for looking and have a Wonderful Wednesday!
