Sketch Frenzy Friday - Romance Frame

Happy Friday Stampers!

I hope you have some great plans for the weekend.  It is supposed to be hot so I plan on working on my convention swaps and cards to post next week.

Friday is our Sketch Frenzy Friday challenge.  We always have some great sketches created by the design team.  This week our sketch was  created by Patrice Herrera

05/31/13 Patrice

When I saw her sketch I decided I wanted to try and make a picture frame.  I went looking at my punches but nothing would work.  I then remembered by Scribbles sizzlet and cut a few to play with.  I finally got it to work out and then needed to have a center image.  I decided to use some designer series paper and a stamp set that retired yesterday.  Here is what I created using this week's sketch.

I hope you enjoyed my card today.  Head on over to the Sketch Frenzy Friday site to see what the other ladies created using this sketch.  We would love to see your interpretation of our sketch.  Make a card and share it with us on our site.  Thanks for looking and have a Fabulous Friday!

Zoie's Punch Art

Hello Everyone!

I spent yesterday afternoon making my monthly swap cards as I was very late in getting them out.  I got them done and they went postal today.

I also made Zoie's punch art card.  I need to go back and see which animals I have done so I can plan out my future cards.  I need to have a list going as I often have to spend time thinking of an animal.  If I have a list I can just look at it and spend time making the card.

Today's card is another animal that is in her uncolor game.  When she uncolor one of the pages there is a hippopotamus with a bird on his back.  The bird hops up the hippo's back and says "Hop" each time it hops.  She loves to say "Hop" with the computer.  Here is my hippo for her this week.

I hope you enjoyed my card today.  If you have any animals you can think I have not done, please send them my way and I will add them to my list.  Thanks for looking and have a Great Day!

Coloring Down the Lines - Basic Black

Happy Wednesday Everyone!

Today is our Coloring Down the Lines blog hop.  I am the start of the hop and the rest of the ladies will share their talents with you also.

This week we were to use

Basic Black, Cherry Cobbler, Baja Breeze

OR

Basic Black, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive

The second set of colors were the ones that spoke to me so those are the ones I used.  I had borrowed a set from a customer to use the sentiment for one of my Convention Swaps so I decided to play with it a little.  Since I used the sentiment I realized I did not have the framelits that match it so I had to fussy cut the layers.  Here is my creation for our colors this week.

So are you ready to see what the rest of my friends created using the color choices?  Hop on down the line to Amanda's blog - Our Crafty Playdate to see what she did with the color choices. Thanks for looking and have a Wonderful Wednesday!

Clean and Simple - Father's Day

Good Morning Ladies!

I have a jam packed week and it is all about stamping.  I have a few things I need to get done as well as the class I am taking.  It will be a fun week for me.

Today's card is for the sketch challenge at Clean and Simple.  I did not meet the deadline for the challenge but I was looking for an idea for my workshop next week.

Since I wanted to have a Father's Day card for my workshop I used this sketch to design the one I will use.  Here is what I did with the sketch.

inside of card and envelope

I think this is a great Father's Day card.  This set is perfect for guy cards but can also be used to make cards for someone who loves the beach.  Hope you enjoyed seeing it.  Thanks for looking and have a Terrific Tuesday!

Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge - Daisy

Happy Memorial Day Everyone!

I hope you have some fun plans for a family get together.  Don't forget to remember our men and women who have served and are serving to ensure we have the freedom to celebrate in this wonderful country we live in.  Without them our lives would not look like anything we have now.

My card today is for Mary Jo's Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge.

I wanted a clean and simple card as I was making cards ahead of time since I was going out of town.  I needed to make sure I had all my design team commitments completed as well as something to post each day.  This one was one I decided to use my Blossom Party Originals die for.  I love daisies and decided to use the die to make a daisy for the center panel.  Here is my creation.

inside of card and envelope

I am still working on my lighting to try and not have a blue tint to everything.  The card is supposed to be white as well as the background.  I hope you enjoyed my creation.  Head on over to Mary Jo's Techno Stamper blog to see what the other ladies on the design team created.  We would love to see what you do with this challenge.  Thanks for looking and have a Marvelous Monday!

Just Add Ink - Oh, Hello

Hello Ladies!

Cherie you asked me about my shim.  I tried to respond to your comment but could not.  Please e-mail me at inkedx2@gmail.com and I can give you the information.

Well it was chilly again today.  I sure hope it warms up some as I did not bring a jacket with me to Jess' and had to borrow one of her sweatshirts.  Besides Zoie wants to go out and play and since she is not wearing shoes and only short sleeve shirts it is a little too cold.

My card today was inspired by the color challenge at Just Add Ink

I have a friend who has the Oh, Hello set and since I was looking for some new stamps to play with I borrowed it from her.  I thought the colors in this challenge would be perfect for this set.  I love how this card turned out.  Here is my card using the specified colors.

I wasn't certain if I wanted this set or not.  I need to play with it more to decide.  How about you, do you own it?  Thanks for looking and have a Sensational Sunday!

Red Hot Stampers - Buttons and Butterflies

Good Morning Stampers!

Wow yesterday was chilly.  I was up at Jess' and did not bring a jacket so had to borrow one of hers.  Today is supposed to be warmer so I am looking forward to that.

My card today began with the sketch challenge at Red Hot Stampers Sketch Challenge Blog

I wanted to do something different with the 3 circles.  I have been playing with the clay and molds and thought the buttons would be fun.  After I made my buttons I colored with an aqua painter and reinker.  When they were dry I added a layer of Crystal Effects.  Here is my interpretation of the sketch.

My cards have improved some but I am still working on getting the lighting correct.  I have learned a lot about my camera from this course.  Thanks for looking and have a Super Saturday!

Sketch Frenzy Friday - For You

Happy Friday Everyone!

It is supposed to be great weather here this weekend.  I hope all of you will have good weather for your Memorial Day activities.

Friday is our Sketch Frenzy Friday sketch challenge.   This week our sketch was created by Tammy Fite.

05/24/13 - Tammy

I decided to keep my card clean and simple like the sketch.  I got a new shim to use with my lacy sizzlets.  It is fabulous.  The pieces cut well and you just need to poke them out quickly.  I used some retiring paper on my card also.  Here is my creation.

I hope you will head on over to the Sketch Frenzy Friday blog to see what the other design team members created.  We would love to have you play along with use.  Thanks for looking and have a Fabulous Friday!

Zoie's Punch Art

Hello Ladies!

Well I wanted to share this week's punch art card for Zoie.  On the same uncolor game on my iPad there is one with a Pig and when you uncolor it the Pig oink sings Old McDonald had a Farm.  She does not recognize the song since the pig is oinking it.  She does giggle when she hears it and she says "Pig, oink oink oink".  I am headed to her house tomorrow so I will hand deliver this one.  I want to see her reaction.  I will let you know what she does and if I can get a picture I will.

I used several punch art ideas from Pinterest to make my card.  Here is her card for this week.

I hope you enjoyed today's card.  Thanks for looking and have a Great Day!

Coloring Down the Lines - Soft Suede

Happy Wednesday Everyone!

It is time for our Coloring Down the Lines blog hop.  I am the start of the hop and I am sure you will love seeing what the other ladies have created.

This week our color choices were

Soft Suede, So Saffron, Regal Rose

OR

Soft Suede, Baja Breeze, Cherry Cobbler

I usually use the second color choice, but this week the first set of colors seemed to be calling my name.  I wanted to use a set I have not used in a while so the Bordering on Romance set was one that will retire in a few weeks and one I had not used in a while.  I decided I would do some blender coloring on this one.  Here is my creation.

inside of card and envelope

I really like this color combination.  I don't often use So Saffron - to me it is too soft.  But in this color combination it does not come off as soft.  So are you ready to head on down the hop?  The next stop is Carol at Carol's Cards .  I am sure she will have a fabulous project for you.  Thanks for looking and have a Wonderful Wednesday!

Hand Stamped Sentiments

Hello Ladies!

I did not tell you yesterday but I had a very productive Sunday.  I cranked out 10 cards to post over the next week and a half.  Michaela is coming in this weekend and Jess needs some help with Zoie while she works on her class so I am heading up there later this week and won't be home until early next week.  That meant I had to get lots of goodies done for my design team commitments as well as to have something to post during this time.

Today at Hand Stamped Sentiments we have a sketch challenge for you.

When I saw this one I immediately thought of my card yesterday and how closely the sketches resemble each other.  I wanted to use the hexagon embossing folder but thought it would be better if I used the debossed side.  I think it looks so much better this way on this card.  Here is my creation.

I hope you will head on over to the Hand Stamped Sentiments blog to see what the other design team members created using this sketch.  We hope you will grab your supplies and play along with us.  Thanks for looking and have a Terrific Tuesday!

Late Night Techno Teacher's Gifts

Good Morning Stampers!

Well I heard the first sounds of cicadas in my areas yesterday.  It was not in the woods at my house but a little distance away.  It will be interesting to see when they finally get to my house.

Today at Late Night Stampers we have a challenge to make Teacher Appreciation gifts.  With the end of the school year fast approaching we are all thinking of ways we can thank our child's teacher.  I wanted something a little different so I went the route of pampering her.

I decided to make some homemade gel air freshener and some homemade foot soak.  All I needed was a way to decorate the container they were in.  Here is what I came up with.

The little silver containers have the gel air freshener.  The white container has the foot soak.

I needed a card to go with this little gift, so I used Mary Jo's Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge  for my layout.

Here is my card to go with the gift set above.

I hope you enjoyed my little gift idea today as well as my card.  Think about sharing your gift ideas with us at Late Night Stampers.  Then you will need a card to go with your gift so head on over to Techno Stamper  and use the sketch challenge and then share it with us.  Thanks for looking and have a Marvelous Monday!

Butterflies and Fourishes

Hello Stampers!

Well it got chilly on us.  I am writing this on Saturday night sitting in my chair with socks on and a blanket over my lap.  It was cloudy and drizzly all day.  It is supposed to be the same tomorrow - Sunday - so I will spend lots of time in my craft room.

My card today is for the challenge at Stampin' Up Only - Butterflies are so much fun!  I love butterflies and could not resist doing this challenge.  Again I apologize for the picture.  I actually used Island Indigo.  I am hoping I get some constructive feedback from the instructor this week so I can take better pictures.  Here is my creation for the challenge.

I hope you enjoyed my card today.  Thanks for looking and have a Sensational Sunday!

Playing with some paper folding

Hello Ladies!

Well I got a little bit done yesterday.  I would have liked to have gotten more done but I could not get myself moving.  When I finally did get into my craft room I got quite a bit completed.  I have all the pieces to my large swap completed.  I just need to assemble.

My card today is for the Dahlia fold challenge at Technique Time Tuesday.  When I saw their challenge I really wanted to participate as I have not done any Dahlia folding in quite a while.  I have to tell you Mynnette has a fabulous video to show you how to do the dahlia fold.  Check it out.  Here is the card I created for this challenge.

As you know I am taking an online photo course.  This week we had to take a photo  in Manual mode.  I think I have the hang of it but I am getting really blue cards when they should be white.  I submitted a photo of one of my cards this week so I am curious to see what the instructor says about this one.  Hopefully I will find out soon so you guys can see white pictures of my cards.

I hope you enjoyed my card today.  Thanks for looking and have a Super Saturday!

Sketch Frenzy Friday - Floral Papillons

Happy Friday!

I hope you have some fun plans for today.  I have a friend coming over for a play date.  We are going to play with our new things from the upcoming catalog.  We always have a good time when we get together.  I have a few things I need to work on for next week, my punch card for Zoie, as well as my special swap for this month.

Today is our Sketch Frenzy Friday challenge.  This week our sketch was created by Kim Innis

What a great sketch for using up some of your retiring ds paper.  This is a fun and cheery card.  It is also easy to do and mass produce - just change the sentiment.  Here is my interpretation of the sketch.

I hope you enjoyed my card.  Head on over to the Sketch Frenzy Friday blog to see what the other ladies did with this sketch.  Thanks for looking and have a Fabulous Friday!

Monkey punch art for Zoie

Hello Ladies!

Well I had to come up with a punch art animal for Zoie's card this week.  Her dad has nicknamed her "Monkey" so I knew I had to do one of those.  I did a search for SU punch art - monkey and came across a cute card by Sandy Dixon.  I knew that was the one I wanted to make.  I pulled out my punches and went about creating my card.  Here is the final card I sent to Zoie this week.

I hope you enjoyed my card today.  Pull out your punches and create something.  Make sure you share it with me as I would love to see it!  Thanks for looking and have a Great Day!

Coloring Down the Lines - Very Vanilla

Happy Mid-week Everyone!

Well we are slowly coming to the end of this color collection as we know it.  In 2 1/2 weeks we will be able to order from the new catalog.  I have an idea what my first purchase will be but it may change.  How about you?

Wednesday is our Coloring Down the Lines blog hop.  The start is here on my blog.  I hope you will continue through the hop to see the other talent on our hop.

This week we could use

Very Vanilla, Perfect Plum, Rose Red

OR

Very Vanilla, Regal Rose, Not Quite Navy

Since the later choice has retiring colors and I am using up as much as I can I went with the second choice.  I had not done a sketch challenge in a while so I checked out my blogs and thought the sketch at Red Hot Stampers Sketch Challenge blog was a fun one.

I decided to use embossed strips for the darker blue images in the sketch.  Unfortunately you cannot tell from the photo.  Here is my interpretation.

inside of card and envelope

So are you ready to hop on down the lines to the next blog?  Amanda at Our Crafty Playdate has our next card.  Hop on over to her blog to see which colors she used.  Thanks for looking and have a Wonderful Wednesday!

Zoie's card from last week

Hello Stampers!

I talked to you about all my work over the weekend on my swaps for convention.  I took a picture of my desk to show you how messy I am when I craft.  Here is that picture.

As you can see I have a ton of things going on.  The orange pieces on the table are not scraps of paper but feet and beaks.  If you look at the top you will see strips of eyes I had worked on also.  I was a busy lady over the weekend!

I have to apologize for my picture today.  I realized just before I put it in the envelope to mail I had not taken a picture.  I think I was in a hurry and my picture may be a little blurry.

My card is another in my series of punch art cards for Zoie.  She loves animals so I am making a different animal card to send her each week.  This week I went for a giraffe.  I have an uncolor game on my iPad that Zoie loves to play.  One of the pictures that is revealed when you uncolor it is of a giraffe on one side and another giraffe comes in from the other side and the song that plays is "Let me call you Sweetheart".  When the giraffe from the left gets close to the one on the right little hearts float up.  The first time she saw this she said "Kisses" and giggles.  She loves this picture so I knew I had to recreate it and send it to her.  Here is my version of the page.

inside of card and envelope

I hope you enjoyed my card today.  I had so much fun making it.  I sent a text to Jess to see what she thought of it but since they don't get their mail every day she may not have gotten it yet.  I am sure she loves it though.  Thanks for looking and have a Terrific Tuesday!

Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge Card

Happy Monday Morning Everyone!

I had a very productive weekend.  I finished one of my Fancy Folds swap and almost have my WOW swap finished.  I am so glad I got some of them finished.  I cannot share them with you yet, but I will share them around convention time.

Our Late Night Stampers challenges have been modified for the summer.  We are running our challenges for 2 weeks.  That means I don't have a LNS card for you today.

Since I am also on the Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge team I will be sharing my card for that one today.  Mary Jo gave us a great sketch to us.

I am still on my quest to use up some of my retiring supplies.  I used retiring cardstock and paper on this card.  I did however add some roses I made using our new clay and molds.  I have playing with some new items and hope we get more molds.  I will be looking for some more molds - especially butterflies - so if you know of some good ones, let me know.  Here is what I created using Mary Jo's sketch

inside of card and envelope

I hope you enjoyed my card today.  Why don't you grab your supplies and play along with us?  We would love to see what you do with this sketch.  Thanks for looking and have a Marvelous Monday!
