Tuesday

Hello Ladies!

Well I am on a quest to use as much of my retiring paper as I can.  Each year I try to use up what I have so I don't have too much.  I even have new toys in the house from the upcoming catalog and have not played with them for fear I would be tempted to not use my retiring stuff.

My card today is one I really like the looks of.  I began with the sketch challenge at Clean and Simple challenge blog

I love the clean look of this and decided to use ds paper to create my card.  Here is what I created.

I hope you enjoyed this card.  I love the way it turned out.  I spent some time in my craft room today and worked on my technique swaps for convention.  I am hoping to finish them up tomorrow so I can move on to my other swaps.  Thanks for looking and have a Terrific Tuesday!

Late Night Stampers - Techno Monday

Happy Monday Everyone!

I hope you had a great weekend!  I had a lot of fun with Zoie.  I spent a lot of time at the playground pushing her on the swing.  She loves to swing and we spent about an hour in the morning and an hour in the afternoon with me pushing her.  Great way to work out the upper arms!

Ok now to move onto my card for today.

Over at Late Night Stampers our challenge is all about Celebrations!  This week we were to make a celebration project.  I decided to go with a general celebration card so I could use it for what ever event I needed a card for.

I also used the sketch challenge for Mary Jo's Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge.  When I saw this sketch I knew it would be perfect to us some of my paper that is retiring on the card.

Here is what I created using both challenges.

I hope you enjoyed my card today.  This was a simple sketch and perfect to use for a quick card.  We would love to have you join us with these challenges. this week.  Thanks for looking and have a Marvelous Monday!

May Workshop Card 2

Happy Sunday Stampers!

Today I am headed back home.  I am hoping to hit my craft room this afternoon so I can get some cards made to post this week as well as finish up one of my convention swaps.  I have grandiose plans so we will see what I get done.

My share today is another workshop card my ladies will make this week.  I was inspired by an old sketch challenge at Clean and Simple .  I meant to have my swirl more of an angle and did not do that.  I think the way I have stamped the swirl with the flower reminds me of a dancing flower you might see in a kid's cartoon.  lol  This card is actually Baja Breeze but my photo editing program adjusted the color too much and I did not see it before I saved it.  Here is another card the ladies will make.

I hope you have some fun plans for today.  Hopefully it will include something creative.  Thanks for looking and have a Sensational Sunday!

May Workshop Card 1

Good Morning Stampers!

Today I am babysitting Zoie.  We will have lots of fun playing and coloring.  She loves to color and paint as well as playing with play-doh.  I can't wait!

My card today was inspired by a card by Donna at Butternut Sage Designs.  I just loved her card and thought it would be perfect for a workshop card.  I did change the colors and the embossing folder.  I used a different ribbon as well as some different stamps since I did not have the ones she used.  I am sure the ladies will love making this card.  Here is my interpretation.

Do you see the sentiment I used?  That is one of my favorite sentiment sets and it is retiring.  I will miss it and hope I can find a set in the new catty that is just as good.  Thanks for looking and have a Super Saturday!

Sketch Frenzy Friday - Twitterpated banner

Happy Friday Ladies!

So do you have some fun plans for this weekend?  I am going to see Zoie and will be babysitting on Saturday while her parents go to a wedding.  We are going to have loads of fun!

Today at Sketch Frenzy Friday we have a great sketch created by Kim Innis

When I saw this I thought of my Hearts a Flutter framelits.  I pulled them out and used them for the first time.  Here is what I created using the above sketch.

I have used some items that will retire in a month.  The paper - Twitterpated will be gone as well as the Riding Hood Red and Baja Breeze cardstock.  If you want any of these items make sure you order them soon.

Make sure you head on over to the Sketch Frenzy Friday blog to see what the other design team members created with this sketch.  We would love to have you play along with us.

Thanks for looking and have a Fabulous Friday!

SURPRISE!

Good Morning Stampers!

I told you on Monday I would not post today but I had to make a card for Zoie so I decided to post it today.

Zoie is really into zoo animals and goes crazy when she sees them in books or on TV.  I decided I would do a punch art card for her each week with different animals on it so she has her own zoo.

My first card was inspired by Jackie Topia.  She had the cutest lion punch/framelit card and I decided I would case it.  I did make some changes as I wanted it to fit into an A2 envelope and I think hers was bigger.  Here is my version of her card.

This little cutie is going in the mail today.  I am hoping she gets it by Saturday when I am there to see her reaction.  Thanks for stopping by today.  Have a Great Day!

Coloring Down the Lines - Always Artichoke and River Rock

Happy Wednesday Ladies!

Are you ready for our blog hop this week?  We are slowly working our way through the color coach.  I am hoping we will be finished before the new catalog comes out as we will have a new color coach since many of the colors are changing.  Then we can begin all over again!

This week we were to use

Always Artichoke and River Rock

These are great colors together.  I decided to combine it with the sketch challenge at Red Hot Stampers Sketch Challenge Blog.

In order to get my image to work the way I wanted it, I flipped the sketch.  Here is my creation.

Hand Stamped Sentiments sketch challenge

Good Morning Stampers!

I hope everyone got some time yesterday to be creative.  I played in my craft room and began planning my swaps for convention.  I needed to make sure I had the paper I needed so I have put together a list of what I will need so I can order it.

Today at Hand Stamped Sentiments we have a sketch challenge.

This was a fun sketch and when I saw it I knew I would be using some designer series paper.  Here is what I created using this sketch.

Late Night Stampers and Techno Stamper shares

Happy Monday Ladies!

Today I have 2 cards to share with you.  I am on 2 design teams that both post on Monday.  Usually I can combine the 2 but this week we had a sketch challenge on both teams.  Since I will have 2 cards to share today I will not be posting on Thursday.  I will take the day off to start working on swaps for convention.

The first share is the card for the Late Night Stampers group.  This week our challenge was to take a scrapbook layout you've seen and turn it into a card, or vice versa!  When I saw this challenge I knew I would have to find some sketches.  I went to a site I knew about - Page Maps - to find a sketch I could use.  Here is the one I chose.

For some reason I liked all the elements on the page.  Here is my card created from this sketch.

The next card I created was for Mary Jo's Techno Stamper Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge.  she had a fun simple sketch this week.

Here is my interpretation of the sketch.

I hope you enjoyed my cards today.  We hope you will head over to the blogs and join us in our challenges.  We would love to see what you create using these challenges.  Thanks for looking and have a Marvelous Monday!

Masculine Swap - last group

Good Morning Stampers!

Today I am sharing the last of the masculine swaps.  I am busy working on my swaps for this month as they are to be mailed out next week.  I enjoy getting cards from these ladies as there is some fabulous talent in this group.  Here are the cards I got this month.

And finally my swap.

I also did an envelope with the same bottom as the inside of the card but could not find it when I took pics.  I hope you enjoyed seeing the swap cards this month.  Thanks for looking and have a Sensational Sunday!

Masculine Swap - first group of cards

Hello Ladies!

I hope you are having a great day!  Maybe you will get time to stamp and create this weekend.

I am in a special swap group hosted by a good friend Carole'Anne Sluchinski.  I had been in one of her other groups and enjoyed it so I decided to do this one also.

Each month we have a theme to follow.  Last month the theme was masculine cards.  I have to tell you I very seldom do masculine and the idea I had I did not even have the set for.  I had to borrow it from a friend.  Here is the first set of cards from the masculine swap.

Aren't these cards the greatest!  Love the guy card theme even if I rarely use masculine cards.  Tomorrow I will share the other cards from the swap as well as my own creation.  Thanks for looking and have a Super Saturday!

Sketch Frenzy Friday - Bright Blossoms

Happy Friday Ladies!

Are you ready for the weekend?  I am.  It will be a busy one for me.  I have a class on Saturday and Zoie is coming for a visit!  Fun, fun, fun!!!!!!!!

This week at Sketch Frenzy Friday our sketch was created by Tammy Fite.

When I saw this I wanted to use a combination of stamped sections and designer series paper sections.  I pulled out several sets I could use for the bottom stamped section.  I checked out my designer series paper also.  Using the designer series paper and the stamp set that fit in the section the best, here is what I created for this sketch.

I hope you enjoyed my card today.  Will you be playing along with us?  Head on over to the Sketch Frenzy Friday blog  to see what the other designers did with this sketch.  Then grab you supplies and play along with us.  Thanks for looking and have a Fabulous Friday!

Another Baltimore Regional

Hello Ladies!

I thought I would share with you another one of the swaps I made for Regionals.  I signed up for a Convention Quality Swap.  This swap was divided into groups and I did 2 different groups.  By convention quality it had to be at least 2 layers with embellishments, clean straight cuts, and all current products.   Remember since this a Convention Swap this is only a card front so I do not have an inside or envelope to share.  Here is my first swap.

I hope you enjoyed the card today.  The background is actually one that I will be doing for a technique swap for convention.  Thanks for looking and have a Great Day!

Coloring Down the Lines - a struggle

Hello Everyone!

Well are you ready for our blog hop this week?  Our colors this week really had me stumped.  I was not sure what I was going to do with them.  It took me quite a few days of thinking about them and looking at my catalog and finally came up with an idea.

This week we had to use

Riding Hood Red and Cherry Cobbler

I am not that fond of this card.  For some reason it did not come out like I had pictured it.  Here is what I created using these 2 colors.

inside of card and envelope

Now it is time to head on over to Amanda's blog - Our Crafty Playdate.  I am sure she did a much better jog than I did.  Thanks for looking and have a Wonderful Wednesday!

Creative Hello

Good Morning Stampers!

I have a busy week and not enough hours in it.  Anyone have any hints how to get more time?

My card today began with the sketch challenge at Clean and Simple

I knew I was strapped for time so I went for a simple design.  I combined it with the sketch challenge at The Paper Players

Here is what I created for these 2 challenges.

I hope you enjoyed my card today.  I am headed for bed so I can at least keep up with my sleep.  Thanks for looking and have a Terrific Tuesday!

Late Night Techno - Paired Punch

Happy Monday!

Wow I am playing catch up.  I have so much to do this week.  I will be working on cards to post almost every day.  I try to work ahead so I can focus on the other days and challenges.

Today at Late Night Stampers our challenge is about punches and matching sets.  We were to create a project that used a stamp and coordinating punch.  It is easy to do this with sentiments but I decided to use an image.

The sketch challenge this week at Techno Stamper is a lot of fun.  Mary Jo always has some great sketches and this one is no exception.

I really had to search my sets to find one that had a matching punch.  I finally found one.  Here is my creation.

inside of card and envelope

I had some issues with taking the picture as the flowers on the card front are embossed.  I hope you can get a good idea of what my card looks like.  We would love to have you join us on our challenges.  Thanks for looking and have a Marvelous Monday!

A little late today!

Hello Ladies!

Sorry I was a little late today.  I got home yesterday after Regionals - what a great day - and was exhausted.  Didn't even think to post my card.  Here is a quick post as I have a workshop today.

I also hosted a 3 x 3 Black and Vanilla swap.  It was fun.  I love the look of black and vanilla together - so rich looking.  When I did my card I really wanted to have lots of interest.  So I did a lot of layers and a couple of embellishments.  Here is what I created.

Since the 3 x 3 was a full swap I also did the inside.  Here it is.

I hope you enjoyed seeing my 3 x 3.  I am a busy lady today.  I have my workshop, I have about 4 cards to make if not more, plants to put in my flower beds, as well as go to the grocery store.  Thanks for looking and have a Sensational Sunday!
