Coloring Down the Lines a day late

Hello Ladies!

OMG have you ever hit the end of the day and decided to get ready for the next day only to realize you are a day late?  That is what happened with me.  For some reason I totally missed my post for the Coloring Down the Lines challenge yesterday.  I went in last night to do my post for today thinking it was Tuesday all day only to find out that it is really Wednesday.

Since I am late I have to apologize if you came in wanting to see a new card.  With that in mind, I am going to post the Coloring Down the Lines challenge card and the card I did for a challenge I was planning on posting today.  So today you get 2 cards.

Our choices for Coloring Down the Lines were

Raspberry Ripple, Old Olive, Pretty in Pink

OR

Raspberry Ripple, Crumb Cake, Perfect Plum

Here is the card I created using the second color combo.  This will be one of the cards at my workshop next week.

Now if you are still wanting to do the blog hop, head on over to Amanda's Blog - Our Crafty Playdate to see what she did and then hop on through the rest of the blogs.

Now for the card I created for today.  I used the color challenge at Dynamic Duos

I unfortunately need a few sympathy cards and I thought this color combo would work.  I will also use this card for my workshop next week.

Hope you enjoyed both of my cards.  Thanks for looking and have a Great Day!

Hand Stamped Sentiments - inspiration challenge

Hello Everyone!

Well the weather is crazy.  We had very cold temps and snow on Saturday and then it got up into the 60's.  Not sure what we are in for this year.

Over at Hand Stamped Sentiments we have a picture inspiration challenge for you today.  Since January has 3 Tuesdays the third Tuesday will be a picture inspiration.  We have this fabulous picture for you today.

This is a great picture.  Did you notice the background is made with envelopes?  I was drawn to the cake in the middle.  I just loved it and decided to use it for my inspiration.  Here is what I created.

I just love how this turned out.  So cute don't you think?  I hope you will head on over to Hand Stamped Sentiments and play along with us this week.  Thanks for looking and have a Terrific Tuesday!

Late Night Stampers and Techno Stamper

Good Morning Ladies!

Well I have some news to share.  Mary Jo at Techno Stamper wanted to start her Monday Lunchtime Sketch challenges again and she needed some members to her design team.  She asked me if I would be interested.  I was honored.  Today is my first day on her design team.  Here is the sketch we were given for this week.

Our challenge at Late Night Stampers this week is all about Heating Things Up!  We were to use heat embossing on our project.  I have not done any heat embossing lately so this was a good one.  I decided to combine the 2 challenges.

I pulled out the Pop Up Posies Designer Kit  to use the middle shape and decided to use the cupcake paper for a flower also.  I then just had to do my embossing and put my card together.  Here is my creation.

It would be great if you would play along with us this week.  You have 2 different challenges you can do.  You can even combine the 2 like I did.  Thanks for looking and have a Marvelous Monday!

A Welcome Case

Hello Ladies!

Well I had a very productive day again yesterday.  I got my other project for Stampin' Fun and Friends finished and photos taken.  Now I just need to do the tutorial.

My post today is not a card.  Several months ago Eileen LeFerve one of the design team members for Late Night Stampers did an adorable Welcome sign for one of our challenges.  I decided I would case it but put my spin on it.

I chose colors that would go with the decor of my house.  I love how this turned out and plan on doing a class for my ladies to make one for their house.  Here is my sample.

I just love how it turned out.  This is going to look so nice in my foyer which happens to be cherry cobbler in color.  Thanks for looking and have a Sensational Sunday!

Good Morning Stampers!

Well we got a dusting of snow last evening.  Just enough to make the roads a mess.  Not much fun for driving but makes it great for staying inside and playing with stamps and paper.

My card today is another one inspired by Connie Stewart.  I am working on a class for next month where we use the same colors and make 10 cards.  This one is card number 4.

Hope you enjoyed my card today.  I will be spending time in my craft room working on some cards to post next week.  Thanks for looking and have a Super Saturday!

Sketch Frenzy Friday - filter flower

Happy Friday Everyone!

Yesterday was a strenuous day for me.  My driveway near my house does not get sun so I have to shovel it.  We had about 5 inches of snow so I spent an hour shoveling.  I have made the mistake of not shoveling and it turns to ice.  Then I have a mess until it finally melts.  I got it shoveled only to hear we are supposed to get some more snow today.  It is not supposed to amount to much but we were only supposed to get 1 to 2 inches with the one we just had.

Ok on to the card.  Today is Sketch Frenzy Friday.  Our sketch today was created by Kim Innis.

When I saw this I immediately saw the graduating colors and decided to run with it.  I chose shades of brown for the card.  I also have seen lots of the creped filter flowers lately and since I didn't have any decided to use some of my filters to see if they would work.  They did but I thought they were too white so I sponged them and then used the spritzer to add some splatters.  Here is my creation.

I hope you enjoyed my card today.  Head on over to the Sketch Frenzy Friday blog to check out what the other design team members created.  Then grab your supplies and join us.  Thanks for looking and have a Fabulous Friday!

Lacy Hello

Good Morning Ladies!

Well I am hoping to wake up to some snow this morning.  It is supposed to start after midnight and continue until about 9 am today.  It is a fast moving storm so they say we will only get a few inches.  Since we have not had any snow this winter I will take the few inches.

My card today began with the color challenge at Fab Friday

I combined it with the sketch challenge at Try Stampin' On Tuesday

I wasn't sure how I was going to use the colors but I think it came together well.   I did not add the elements on the top and bottom of the circle as I had embossed the panel and thought it would not go.  Here is what I created.

Hope you enjoyed my card today and will get a chance to visit your craft area and play.  Thanks for looking and have a Great Day!

Coloring Down the Lines - Primrose Petals

Good Frosty Morning Everyone!

Well I have to tell you this color is one of my least favorite colors.  To me the color is not clear.  It is a muted color and hard to match up to any of the other colors.

Our colors for the challenge this week are

Primrose Petals, Summer Starfruit, Basic Gray

OR

Primrose Petals, So Saffron, Baja Breeze

When I looked at these colors I chose the first choice.  The reason I chose those colors is I hardly ever used either of the 3.  I was a little stumped as to what I was going to do with these colors so I turned to the trusty catalog.  I decided that I would use Betsy's Blossom.  Here is what I created.

So are you curious what the other ladies did with Summer Starfruit?  Hop on over to Amanda's blog - The Crafty Playdate to see what she did with the colors.

Thanks for looking and have a Wonderful Wednesday!

Hello Stampers!

So what are your plans today?  After work I will be working on some cards and a project to post later this week.

My card today is another one inspired by Connie Stewart.  It is another in a series using Rose Red, River Rock, and Very Vanilla.  Here is my card for today.

So this is card number 3 using the 3 colors above.  Hope you enjoyed this one.  Thanks for looking and have a Terrific Tuesday!

Late Night Stampers - Color Challenge

Good Morning Everyone!

I hope you had a great weekend!  The weather here yesterday was great.  We are supposed to get very cold today and then slowly warm up again by the weekend.

Over at Late Night Stampers we have a fun color challenge for you this week.  We were to use

Lucky Limeade
Pink Pirouette
Rich Razzleberry

I loved this color combination and decided to use the bicycle from the Moving Forward set.  I colored the image with my markers to get the different colors on the bike.  I loved the look of the stamped image and decided to keep my card clean and simple.  Here is my creation.

I hope you enjoyed my card today.  Why don't you head on over to the Late Night Stampers blog and play along with us.  Thanks for looking and have a Marvelous Monday!

Rose Red Papillon

Good Morning Everyone!

Well the 2 play off games are later today.  I will be watching both of the games and cheering on the Ravens in the second game.  How about you?

My card today is a fun card inspired by Connie Stewart.  I played around with the new mini butterfly punch.  It actually fits the small butterfly in Papillon Potpourri.  I love that we have punches for these butterflies.

So do you like this one?  It uses the same colors as yesterday's.  Hope you enjoyed it!  Thanks for looking and have a Sensational Sunday!

Rose Red Vintage

It's Saturday!

Well I hope you have some fun plans for this cold day.  It is a great day to stay inside and stamp!

My card today is an attempt at a vintage style using Rose Red.  I also used the sketch at Red Hot Stampers Sketch Challenge blog.

Here is my creation.

So do you think you can do vintage with Rose Red?  Let me know if you think I succeeded.  Thanks for looking and have a Super Saturday!

Sketch Frenzy Friday - Secret Garden

Happy Friday Everyone!

Well we missed the snowstorm.  I was bummed as I was so looking forward to watching the flakes fall.  I will cross my fingers for another storm to head our way.

Friday means it is Sketch Frenzy Friday.  This week our sketch was created by Jennifer Weide.

When I saw this I did not want to use circles as in the sketch so I decided to to use flowers.  I pulled out my Summer Garden set and started creating.  Once I had my flowers made it was then a matter of laying them out on the cardstock.  I debated about the color to use but went with black as the flowers really popped.  Here is my creation.

I hope you enjoyed my card today.  Head on over to the Sketch Frenzy Friday blog to see what the other ladies did with the sketch.  We would love to have you play along with us this week.  Thanks for looking and have a Fabulous Friday!

Convention project finished!

Good Morning Ladies!

Well the weather forecast says we are to get some snow.  Depending on which station you watch we can get anywhere from 1 - 4 inches.  I will be watching the update at 11 tonight to see if this changes.  I am going with the weatherman that said 4 inches but that is because I want some snow.

My share today is a project that was a class I took at convention.  I did not finish it at convention as I was flying home.  I have been trying to get it done and I finally took time this weekend and got it done.  This is a canvas that we painted, added some ds paper, then stamped it.  The final steps were to make the flowers and attach.  Here is my creation.

This will be going in my sunroom to remind me of the flowers in my yard.  Thanks for looking and have a Great Day!

Coloring Down the Lines - Midnight Muse

Happy Middle of the Week Day!

Well we are at the middle of the week again.  Since it is Wednesday it is our Coloring Down the Lines challenge.  This week our color choices were

Midnight Muse, More Mustard, Rich Razzleberry

OR

Midnight Muse, Bashful Blue, Cherry Cobbler

I decided to try the second color combination.  I knew this would be a challenge with the Cherry Cobbler in the mix.  I decided to pull out my catalog and see what I could find.  I realized I had not used the Serene Silhouettes set in a long time so that was the choice.  I then found a great sketch at Try Stampin' on Tuesday

I went with a clean and simple card since the colors were a challenge.  Here is what I created.

I hope you enjoyed my card today.  Now it is time to hop on over to Carol's blog - Carol's Cards to see what she did with our color combination.  Thanks for looking and have a Wonderful Wednesday!

Hand Stamped Sentiments - sketch challenge

Hello Stampers!

Well Tuesday means it is Hand Stamped Sentiments.  This week we have a sketch challenge.

I saw this as a quick and easy sketch so I went with that idea.  I decided to use some of my designer series paper that I had not used in a while.  I saw the vertical stripe and wanted to try something different.  I used the ribbon punch to make 3 strips which I attached next to each other.  I then added some ribbon for the horizontal stripe.  I used 3 different sizes of scallop circle punches to make my flower.  I then stamped the sentiment and punched it out with the modern label punch.  I attached it to the flower using glue dots.  Here is my creation.

I hope you will head over to the Hand Stamped Sentiments blog to see what the other ladies created using this sketch.  Thanks for looking and have a Terrific Tuesday!

Late Night Stampers - Hearts

Happy Monday Ladies!

Well we never got the great weather we were supposed to get.  It was dreary here again yesterday.  That is okay as I used it to work on a few projects.

Monday means the beginning of a new challenge at Late Night Stampers.  This week our challenge is all about Hearts- we are to use a heart on our project.  I decided that the pretty flower paper in Twitterpated designer series paper would be my starting point.  The rest just fell into place.  Here is my creation.

Hope you enjoyed my card today.  Thanks for looking and have a Marvelous Monday!

Another bluring idea.

Good Morning Stampers!

Well the weather did not get as warm as they said it would yesterday.  It stayed dreary all day and I am thinking because the sun did not come out was the reason it did not get as warm as they said it would.

I had another productive day yesterday.  I had a workshop in the morning and when I had cleaned up from that I finished up my Winter banner and made 2 cards.  I am going to try and go to a friend's house tomorrow where a group of us are going to stamp.  Not sure what I will work on but I am sure I will have a good time.

My card today uses another idea I saw while blurfing on Friday morning.  I saw a flower on a blog where they had sponged the edges as well as add some glitter to the petal edges.  I loved the look and decided to do my own version.  Here is what I came up with.

I hope you enjoyed my card today.  Make sure you take some time today to play and be creative.  Thanks for looking and have a Sensational Sunday!

A blurfing idea

Hello Ladies!

Well I was very lazy yesterday.  I woke up about 8 but then spent the next several hours - yes hours - blog surfing and catching up on the blogs I check out as well as checking out ideas I had saved.  Despite the time I spent relaxing and doing my research, I still managed to make 3 cards for my Retirement Village ladies to make, 2 cards for this weekend, as well as 2 upcoming design team commitments.  All in all it was a very productive day and I am hoping to have a productive afternoon today and Sunday.

In my blurfing I ran across a few ideas that I played with.  I also used some of my new free goodies to make my card today as well as the one tomorrow.  Here is what I created.

inside of card and envelope

I hope you enjoyed my card today.  If you are contemplating the Pop Up Posies Designer Kit give it a try try.  You get several of the cut out shapes, a bunch of the cupcake papers, the fabric brads, as well as a few other things.  Thanks for looking and have a Super Saturday!

Sketch Frenzy Friday - Valentine

Happy Friday Everyone!

I hope you will be able to get outside and enjoy the gorgeous weather if you have it in your area.  We are supposed to be 60 degrees this weekend.  It will be nice to be outside for a change.

Friday means it is Sketch Frenzy time.  This week our sketch was created by Deb Currier.

If any of you know Deb you know she creates some great cards with minimal supplies.  I have always loved her clean and simple style.  I decided to make a Valentine card and keep my card simple.  Here is my creation.

I hope you will head on over to the Sketch Frenzy Friday blog to see what the other members of the team created.  Then why don't you join us and play along.  Thanks for looking and have a Fabulous Friday!
