Late Night Stampers - use a recycle item

Good Morning Everyone!

I hope everyone without electricity is able to get to one of the cooling stations they have set up in the area.  They are saying this storm was a powerful as a hurricane but without the warning.  Some areas are not expected to get electricity until this coming weekend.  The bad news is that the weather is supposed to continue to be in the high 90's.

Over at Late Night Stampers we have a fun challenge from CherylAnn this week.  CherylAnn is challenging us to "Go Green - use a recycled item on your card".  I have to say I was stumped with this one.  Then yesterday morning I remembered I had saved the plastic container one of my acrylic block came in.

I located it and thought it would be fun to use it like it was an aquarium.  I cut the piece apart and decided the back was the piece I needed to use.

All I needed to do was to make my card.  I designed the back piece to be the ocean and added my fish.  I then cut a hole in the front and inserted the plastic backing.  Then I needed to attach the back piece and my card was done.  Here is my creation.

So what recycled item can you use on your card?  Give it a try and then share it with me.  I would love to see it.  Thanks for looking and have a Marvelous Monday!

Robbie

What a great card! I love your use of the recycled object! I have some of the same plastic items, I was trying to think of a way to use them! Now I know! Thanks for sharing!

I LOVE this card. What a great idea. You are a genious to think to use that piece of plastic. My son and his kids love fish and have 3 aquariums, so now I need to CASE this for them -- so cute. Thanks for the inspiration. (I doubt mine will turn out as gorgeous as yours)
