Well ladies I have to do some major ironing today as well as working on my convention swaps. I have got to get them done since I leave in 2 weeks. Wish me luck and I bet you can guess which one will definitely get done today! wink wink
Today's card is for my technique class this month. We are doing emerging color this month. I started out doing this with some of the new In Colors and the Fast and Fabulous stamp set but it didn't turn out like I thought it would. Here are the 2 papers I made for my first attempt.
So now you know why I decided to have another try at this. I went looking at the gallery on Splitcoast and saw a card made with the butterfly from Priceless so I decided to give that one a try. I used several solid small stamps that I had and stamped it all over using Baja Breeze, So Saffron, and Pretty in Pink. Here is what the paper looked like.
The next step is to stamp your butterfly randomly all over using Versamark. Use clear embossing powder and heat your images. Once you have your butterflies embossed you use your brayer and brayer ink all over you paper. I used Not Quite Navy. Once you have finished brayering, use a paper towel to wipe the ink off the butterflies. I then layered the card on So Saffron and mounted on my Baja Breeze card that I stamped the swirl around the outside edge. I felt it needed some glitz so I used my clear stardust gel pen to trace the swirls. Add a sentiment and your done.

So do you like my emerging color card. I think it turned out so much better than my first try. Thanks for looking and have a Great Day!
