Blue Heart

Good Morning! Well we are going to get snow again today. They are saying less than 1" which is good. Then tonight we will get more but again the accumulation is less than 1" again. I have been busy sewing Michaela's curtains. I have to hem the great room ones and make the bedroom ones today. Then her curtains will be done. We will then decide on picture placement and hang them. She will then only have the boxes of clothes left to unpack. She will be in good shape when I leave on Sunday but boy has it been a busy week.

Today's card uses a sketch from Paper Craft Planet. This is a site similar to Splitcoast Stampers. They have weekly sketch and color challenges. They also have lots of groups yo can join as well as forums and chats. When I saw the sketch I did not want to use the heart shape for the center but decided to use an oval with a heart in the center. I also used my Square Step punch and removed the guard to punch the border. To do that just take the guard off and punch like a border punch. I want to try making a medallion similar to the ones Becca creates on her blog. Not sure how it will turn out but I want to play and see what I get. I think I should have used a thicker ribbon and may try changing it when I get home. Here is the sketch and my creation. What do you think?
