Witchy Yummy Mystery

At 8 PM were working with Harry Potter and limited supplies.  We could only use 3 colors, 2 accessories (you could add a neutral as one of your accessories), no glitter or embossing powder, have 2 different images stamped on your card, a punch somewhere on the card, black somewhere on the card, and images that remind us of witches and wizards.  The bonus was to use the colors of the "Houses" from the story.  I had a cute wand with a saying that was perfect along with the witch on her broomstick.  I had a challenge to do the ribbon as it is one long piece wrapped around the card but I got it worked out so that counts as only 1 accessory.  I also used green metallic paper to give it lots of bling to go with the Gelly Roll Stardust pen on the stars.  I really love this card.

9 PM brought on food mysteries.  There is a series of books based on a baker with titles related to food.  When I saw Cherry Cheesecake Mystery I thought of the new Bella Rose paper and So Saffron.  I pulled out a set I had not used in a while for the image on the front.  Let me know if you think of Cherry Cheesecake when you see this card.

Get Fancy Inchie

The challenge for 7PM on Saturday was to Go Get Fancy.  In this challenge you were to make your fanciest card.  When I think of fancy I think of elegant organdy ribbon, rhinestones, lace, and flowers.  I used all of these on my card.  There was a bonus to use french on your card if you could.  I used the french script background and small alphabet to write Thanks My Friend in french also.

The 8 PM challenge was to use inchies on your card.  I have done this before using a regular stamp and a square punch to create my own inchie.  I used the solid stamp from Priceless to make the squares and the flowers from Friendship Blooms to make my inchies.

Here are my two cards.

Details for first card.
Stamps: French Script Background, small alphabet Paper: Bashful Blue, white Ink: Bashful Blue, Whisper White Craft Accessories: white primrose (Jolee's boutique), Martha Stewart edge punch, rhinestone, ribbon (JoAnn's), white embossing powder, sponge dauber, sticky tape, dimensionals

Watercolor Purple Creations

I'm back with more VSN cards.  I hope some of you are interested in doing some of these challenges next month.  If anyone would like to join me next month and work on our challenges together, let me know.  It would be fun to work on them with someone else.

Our next challenge was based on the children's author Eric Carle.  Since many of his books use watercolor we were to use watercoloring on our card.  This is right up my alley as I love to watercolor.

After that challenge I was use purple to create a card.  Again I thought of Halloween and I had the cutest stamp to use.  It was a stamp of witch feet.  I wanted to use glitter so that it would have lots of sparkle.  I used crystal effects which was thicker than I would have liked.  I have to find some way to use glitter without the thickness.  The witch feet had to be completed in phases as the glitter would run together if I did it all at once.  I also like the fact that I combined the dotted and striped ribbon.  I use a cuttlebug folder that I had inked up for the background.  I know there is a better way to do this and I need to find out how to do it.  Anyone out there ever done this?  What did I do wrong?  Here are my two cards for these challenges.

The Watercolor Card
Stamps: Stems & Shlhouettes, Boho Backgrounds, Canvas Background (retired) Paper: Barely Banana, Cameo Coral, Certainly Celery, Garden Green, white Ink: Cameo Certainly Celery, Garden Green  Accessories: flower punch, ribbon (JoAnn's), silver brads, sticky tape, dimensionals
Stamps: Just Flying By (retired), witch feet (Studio G)  Paper: Basic Black, Lovely Lilac, white Ink: Lovely Lilac, Palette Noir Black Accessories: dotted ribbon (Michael's), striped ribbon (JoAnn's), glitter, Cuttlebug folder, sticky tape, dimensionals

Well I have 6 more cards to show you.  Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Penny Black Challenge

This week the Penny Black Challenge was to create a project other than a card. Since I had just made a bookmark using a large paper clip and I had some left I decided to make another bookmark. I like this one also (other than the ribbon, I need to find some yellow polka dot as I think that would be too cute!). These would make some easy fun Christmas presents for those of you looking for stocking stuffer ideas.

Well my sister is finally having her hip surgery today. I won't have much time to complete any fabulous projects for you but I will share my final VSN projects over the next few days. Hopefully I'll be back on Monday to share a new creation. Here is my bookmark.

Stamps: Buzz in the Air (Penny Black) Paper: Pacific Point, Yoyo Yellow, white Ink: Palette Noir Black Accessories: Basic Gray - Blush Blossom - Pretty in Pink - Summer Sun - Yoyo Yellow markers, crystal effects, Atyou Spica clear glitter pen, large paper clip, ric rac ribbon (Jody's online share)

Check back later for some more VSN cards. Thanks for looking and have a great day!

More VSN projects

Well are you sick of seeing my projects yet!  I had so much fun and my favorite card hasn't been posted yet.  The first challenge I completed on Sunday was the one from Friday night I had not done.  In this challenge you had to use twine or hemp as the theme was book binding.  I thought it would be fun to add a little book on the front of the card.  I used small script and watercolor minis to make a simple 4 page book that I tied together with hemp.

The next challenge has us using Perfect Pearls on our card.  I thought it would be fun to make a Halloween card.  While I am not really pleased with the look of the card, it was the first time I had used the Perfect Pearls so I have a lot to learn.  Here are the 2 cards for these challenges.

Here are details for each card.
Bookbinding Card
Stamps: Small Script, Watercolor Minis (both retired) Paper: Basic Gray, Brilliant Blue, Certainly Celery, Elegant Eggplant, Rose Red, White, DCWV Spring Stack (last year) Ink: Almost Amethyst, Bashful Blue, Brilliant Blue, Certainly Celery, Elegant Eggplant, Regal Rose, Rose Red  Accessories: More Mustard brads, hemp, dew drops, Big Bite
Halloween Card
Stamps: Batty for You, Boo (Studio G) Paper: Basic Black, Halloween PP (last year)  Ink: Versamark, Whisper White Craft Accessories: ribbon (Michael's), ghost brads, circle punches
Thanks for looking and have a great day!

September ATC Swap

The requirements for the September monthly ATC is to use some of the new designer series paper.  I have Bella Rose which I am quickly finding lots of ways to use it.  I also got the Martha Stewart branch punch that I had seen used on Faith's blog with leaves to add some extra dimension.  I like the way it turned out with the leaves and will use it again.  The only issue I have is that the branch is hard to punch.  Not sure if this is due to the fact that it is a lot of little pieces or if I got a bad punch.  Anyone else have that problem?  Here is my ATC.

Stamps: Simply Said, Fresh Fillers (retired) Paper: Kiwi Kiss, Riding Hood Red, Bella Rose PP Ink: Kiwi Kiss, Riding Hood Red Accessories: rhinestone, Martha Stewart branch punch, crimper, Zots. sponges, dimensionals
So what do you think of my card?  Let me know.  Check back later for some more VSN cards.  Thanks for looking and have a great day!

More VSN cards

I had this post almost completed when my machine closed out all my tabs.  GRRRRRR!!!!!

On Friday evening I still had 3 challenges to go.  I had a flocking challenge, scratch 'n sniff challenge, and a book binding challenge.  I went with the flocking challenge next.  I had some problems with what I was going to do since I only had black, white, and yellow flocking.  I did not want to do another daisy image so I went with bees.  I pulled out my In Full Bloom set as the bee image in this set is fairly large and I would need a large image to use.  The flocking wasn't too hard just time consuming since you have to let the glue dry.  Here is my card.

The next challenge was the scratch 'n sniff.  I had to use the Kool-aid for this one.  Since I had picked up Ice Blue Raspberry Lemonade I had to find something I could use since the Kool-aid was blue.  I chose to use Best Blossoms and make them blueberries even though they would smell like raspberries.  Here is my card.

Here are the details for each card.

Bee Happy

Stamps: In Full Bloom (retired), Be Happy (DOTS - retired) Paper: Close to Cocoa, Mellow Moss, So Saffron, white Ink: Palette Noir Black Accessories: Black and Yellow Flocking, Crystal Effects, photo holder and brad (chocolate chip), Basic Black - Mellow Moss - Real Red - Summer Sun markers, Tombow 991 marker 2 Way Glue, dimensionals

Scratch 'n Sniff

Stamps: Best Blossoms, Everyday Expressions (both retired) Paper: Always Artichoke, More Mustard, Night of Navy, white Ink: Always Artichoke, More Mustard, Night of Navy, Versamark Accessories: Iced Blue Raspberry Lemonade Kool-Aid, clear embossing powder, ribbon (Pink Hedgehog), sticky tape, dimensionals

I still had one more challenge but it was already 12 so I decided to work on that one on Sunday.  I had a birthday party to attend on Saturday.  Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Mojo 50 on Tuesday

I had this post started and my computer had an error and restarted Windows. That meant I lost what I had put in. Maybe I need to go to the Windows website and download the latest programs (or maybe it is the weather tonight).

I am so excited as I combined 2 challenges with this card. I have enjoyed doing Julee's Mojo Monday sketches. I find her sketches so easy to do. I have tried doing other sketches and sometimes find them ery hard. I have never had that with hers. Not sure why. I have also been doing the challenges on the OurCreativeCorner. This week the challenge was a color challenge. We had to use Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie, and Ruby Red and if we wanted we could throw in Chocolate Chip. With those colors I thought of Fall. Now I am not rushing the seasons as I have enjoyed the nice weather the last few days. Hopefully we will have at least 2 more months of this weather if not longer. Here is what I designed for the combined challenges.

Stamps: Basket Full of Fun, Pettite Patterns (both retired) Paper: Old Olive, Pumkin Pie, Ruby Red, Very Vanilla Ink: Chocolate Chip, Kaleidacolor Autmn Leaves, Palette Noir Black Accessories: Close to Cocoa - Creamy Caramel - Old Olive - Pumpkin Pie - Ruby Red markers, small oval punch, Nestabilities, ribbon (JoAnn's last year at end of season sale), Aged Copper Hodgepodge Hardware, sticky tape, dimensionals

I have been having so much fun making cards lately. I hope you are enjoying them. I am also hoping that I have inspired you to create cards using the colors or layouts I have used. Maybe you will think they are good enough to case just as I have them. Check back later today for some more of my VSN cards. Let me know what you think. Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Virtual Stamping Night (VSN)

This past weekend Splitcoast had their August Virtual Stamping Night.  This even is held on a Friday evening and a Saturday.  It usually begins about 6:00 and goes until 11:00 on Friday night and Saturday is usually 8 hours long.  They post a new challege every hour.  You have 45 minutes to create your card and they give you 15 minutes to clean up and post your card before they post the next challenge.  They list a shopping list a few days before the event so that you can gather all the supplies you need.  I had most of them and only had to buy large paper clips and sugar free Kool-Aid.  I really enjoyed doing them on Friday evening.  Saturday I had my workshop then a birthday party so I did the Saturday challenges today.  I did not do a few of the posted challenges (make a mask, use newspaper on your card) but the rest were fun.  I did find out that I can create a rather elaborate card within the 45 minute time frame.

The first challenge was to use a favorite book from your childhood to create a card.  Well at my age I can't remember books I read other than the Nancy Drew mystery books.  I did however immediately think of my daughter's favortie book (must be because I had to read it every night for about 6 months).  I used "Good Night Moon" for this card.
After the first challenge I discovered my paper and ink did not lend themselves to watercoloring very well.  I switched my paper and my ink and the final product was much better.  The second challenge was to create a bookmark card.  This was fun as I had never done one before.  It wasn't as hard as I thought it would be.  I love daisies so naturally I had to create a bookmark with daisies.  Here is what I came up with.
Here are the supplies used for each card.
Good Night Moon
Stamps: Wishing Moon (Stmapington & Co.) Paper: Ballet Blue, So Saffron, white, Diamond Dust (Paper Adventures) Ink: Basic Black Accessories: Always Artichoke - Ballet Blue - More Mustard - So Saffron markers, ribbon (Pink Hedgehog), star brad, Martha Stewart punch, sticky tape dimensionals
Bookmark card
Stamps: Flowers for 'Daisy (Gina K Designs), For a Friend (retired), Your're Unfrogettable (retired) Paper: Green Galore, white, Yoyo Yellow, DCWV glitter stack Ink: Palette Noir Black  Accessories: Green Galore - Real Red - Summer Sun - Yoyo Yellow markers, Big Clip, ribbon, hole punch, Crystal Effects, dimensionals
Over the next few day I will be sharing my challenges with you.  Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Monday's design for you

A friend needed a card for his brother's 60th birthday.  I had another House Mouse image that I used on this card.  I'm not sure you can tell but the outside says "No way".  The inside said "You don't look a day over 50!"  This was a fun card to make.

Stamps: Exciting Celebration (House Mouse), For a Friend (retired), small alphabet Paper: Ballet Blue, So Saffron, white, DCWV Spring Stack (last year) Ink: Basic Black, Ballet Blue, So Saffron Accessories: Ballet Blue - Bashful Blue - Blush Blossom - Going Gray - Pretty in Pink - So Saffron markers, Sakura Stardust gel pen, Cuttlebug Olivia alphabet, circle punches, dimensionals
Check back later today and I will be sharing some of the cards I made for Splitcoast's Virtual Stamping Night.  It was fun and fast paced.  Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Verve's August Project Parade

Verve is having a contest that runs until September 3rd. The inspiration was an ad from a coffee shop. The ad looked so yummy and the colors were perfect for me. I had a fun time creating this card using an image I got in an image swap.

When I looked at the image the first thing that popped into my head was a line from a Beetle's song "I get by with a little help from my friends" so I went with it. I stamped "I get by" on the outside and used my computer to generate "with a little help from my friends" for the inside. I really like the way it turned out. Here is the inspiration piece and my card. I am not sure if you were supposed to create a project rather than a card but I did the card.

Stamps: House Mouse (could not find the name on the website) Paper: Close to Cocoa, Pretty in Pink, white, DCWV Spring Stack PP (last year) Ink: Close to Cocoa Accessories: ribbon (Pink Hedgehog), Word Window punch, dimensionals, sticky tape

So what do you think? Might need to add some bling!

I will participating in Splitcoast's Virtual Stamping Night for the fun of it. I will post my creations on the blog for you to see later this weekend! Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Our Creative Corner Sketch Challenge

Today's card is a little different as it has limited stamping on it.  I saw this sketch on  OurCreativeCorner's blog and wanted to give it a try.  I wanted to use something different for the embellishment in the corner besides a flower so I went looking in my stash and came up with this button.  It matched the Groovy Guava paper perfectly so I went with that color and added Kraft as the card base.  I have a lot of patterned paper that I need to use so I can make room for the new paper.  With that in mind, I decided to use some of the Groovy Guava paper on the card also.  In the picture the ribbon does not match the Guava but in real life they are a perfect match.

The sketch was fairly simple and lends itself to lots of options.  You can create a card using patterned paper like I did or you could use a stamped image on the lower half.  Give it a try to see what you can create.  Here is the sketch and my card.

Stamps: So Many Sayings (retired) Paper: Groovy Guava cardstock and Patterned Paper (retired), Kraft, Very Vanilla Ink: Chocolate Chip Accessories: Button (Pink Hedgehog), ribbon (Ribbons and Bows Oh My), dew drops (Jody's online share), scallop punch, Zots, sticky tape

So what do you think?  This was a fast card to do.  Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Moose Card

I got this image from Whipper Snapper.  I thought he was so cute holding the rose in his mouth.  I cut out one of the hearts and popped it up on a dimensional to give it a little something extra.  I tried using squares behind opposite corners to give it a little added emphasis.  I got a set of saying stamps from Verve that I have been using lately as I have a few cards that they just seem to fit.  I also use the markers and blender pen again.  I am find some things are easy to shade while others take a little bit more practice.  What do you think?
Stamps: Moose in Love (Whipper Snapper), Feeling Groovy (Verve) Paper: Chocolate Chip, Close to Cocoa, Real Red, white Ink: Staz-On Black, Chocolate Chip Accessories: Chocolate Chip brad, Close to Cocoa - Creamy Caramel - Green Galore - Real Red markers, Tag Corner punch, dimensionals

Check back later for another sketch challenge card.  Thanks for looking and have a great day!

First Day of School

Oh My Gosh today was the day that I put both of my children on the Bus. Sammy is going into K and Sloane is in 2nd. I am now a stay home mom with no one at home anymore during the day, so I guess my title will change ???. I now have no reason not to post when I am supposed to, this summer has been so busy and has gone by so fast, it will be nice to start stamping for the blog again. I hope you all have a Wonderful Day.
Here is a little something that we made at a Workshop this weekend. Enjoy!

Jumpin' for Joy

Hope you were able to get outside and enjoy this gorgeous weather.  I can't believe it is so cool out.  It was great to take a cool walk and cut my grass with a nice breeze this morning.

I saw this sketch on Jen's blog and wanted to give it a try.  My sister had this cute stamp and I borrowed it to stamp some images.  I thought this would be perfect for this sketch.  I covered the frog with crystal effects so he is really shiny but the picture didn't show it. I also used my Stardust gel pen on the center of the flower to give it some bling!  Here is the sketch and my card.

Stamps: Jump for Joy (Penny Black), Unfrogettable (retired) Paper: Gable Green, Green Galore, white, Sweet Designer Series Paper (retired) Ink: Basic Black Accessories: Close to Cocoa - Creamy Caramel - Gable Green - Garden Green - Green Galore - More Mustard - So Saffron markers, Spring Bouquet punch (retired), crystal effects, Sakura Stardust Gel Pen, dimensionals
I love this card.  It is just so much fun.  Hope you enjoyed it also.  Thanks for looking and have a great day!

The First Day of School

Well today is the first day of school for our county. This morning as the buses were pulling into the parking lot at the school across the street I was taking my morning walk. Ahhh life is good being retired!

In honor of the first day of school I have used Julie's color concoction to create this card. I got the image in an image swap I participated in last month. I thought it would be perfect for a school card as I know everyone will be tired after an exciting first day. Hope you like it!

Stamps: Bedtime Story (HM Stamps), 2 Teach (retired) Paper: Baja Breeze, Garden Green, Not Quite Navy, white Ink: Baja Breeze, Garden Green, Not Quite Navy Accessories: Blush Blossom - Close to Cocoa - Creamy Caramel - So Saffron markers, Key Tag Punch, Apple Button (I cut the shank off), books (scrapbooking stick on), aqua painter, dimensionals

So how was your day today? I hope it was fun and you were able to get outside and enjoy the beautiful weather. Check back later today as I am working on a sketch challenge. Thanks for looking and have a great day!

A Surprise Post

I haven't done one of Julee's Mojo Monday sketches in a while and I couldn't resist doing this one. It was a great sketch to do and once I picked my image it was easy to complete. This is another Penny Black stamp. I thought it would be a good one to also use to do some silhouette image cards. I will be trying that soon as I would like to play with brayering on color also.

I colored the image with markers and then spritz with water before stamping. I tried doing the petals with Regal Rose and outlining the edges and doing the tips with Rose Red. I don't think you can see the slight difference in the petals from the picture as it is really subtle but adds just a little bit of highlighting to them. Here is the sketch and my card.

Stamps: Blush (Penny Black), Mini Mates (retired) Paper: Garden Green, Regal Rose, Rose Red, So Saffron, white Ink: Rose Red Accessories: circle punches, Garden Green - Regal Rose - Rose Red - So Saffron markers, dimensionals

I just realized there are no embellishments on this card. I may need to go add some Dew Drops just for a little bling! Do you think it needs something else? Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Hedgehog on Daisy

Ahhh!  I realized after posting this that my sentiment is crooked.  Oh well, can't do anything about it now but will have to fix it before I send it (mmm... maybe, just shows the fact that it is handstamped and not perfect!).

I have been having a blast using my Penny Black images.  I just love Hedgehogs.  Anybody know of any other companies that make cute hedgehog stamps?

I relaly like the layout of this card.  It was easy to work with and a good way to use a stamped image and patterned paper.  I had these flower charms I got about 2 years ago and had never used and felt it would fit with patterned paper and the image perfectly.  Love how it just adds a little something to the card.  The card also has glitter patterned paper that doesn't show in picture.

Stamps: Ladybug 'n Hedgehog (Penny Black), All About You (Verve) Paper: Garden Green, Yoyo Yellow, white, DCWV Nana's Kids Ink: Basic Black, Garden Green Accessories: Blush Blossom - Creamy Caramel - Garden Green - More Mustard - Pretty in Pink - Real Red - Summer Sun markers, blender pen, ribbon (Pink Hedgehog), flower charm (Michael's), dimensionals

Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Not a Saturday Sketch but a card for you

I have been experimenting some more with markers and a blending pen to create shading.  I used Blush Blossom and Close to Cocoa on the cat to create his shaded fur.  I am still working my a variety of cardstock to see the one that I like the best.  I really like this technique and will continue to use it so I can create depth and dimension on my cards.  Let me know that you think.

I had this patterned paper that matched Blush Blossom and Close to Cocoa really well.  It also has some glitter on it to make it sparkly which doesn't show in the picture.  Has anyone found a way to take pictures so the glitter shows up?  Would love some hints.  This is another Verve sentiment to complete the card.

Stamps: Cute! (Penny Black), Feeling Groovy (Verve) Paper: Blush Blossom, Close to Cocoa, white, DCWV glitter stack Ink: Basic Black Accessories: cat brad, ribbon, Blush Blossom - Close to Cocoa - Pretty in Pink markers, blender pen, dimensionals

Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Kids Stamp Camp

Here are a few shots of the group from the August Stamp Camp. Monday I had them make a Stationery Packet with 4 Thank You notes and I think they turned out really cute, sorry I forgot to get a photo that day. These photos were taken on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. On Tuesday we learned two techniques shaving cream and 2 step stamping, for each technique they made 2 cards. Wednesday we made these really cute scrapbooks using #6 coin envelopes, and on Friday it was all about making 3D projects.
Tuesday - Techniques

Two Step Stamping card
Wednesday - Envelope Scrapbook (love my new bind it)

Thursday - 3-D projects
I have really enjoyed doing these stamp camps and can't wait to do another one. To all of the parents that had a child attend one of my events "thank you". I really had a wonderful time working with all of them on the projects that we made.

Hedgehog in Field of Daisies

Daisies are my favorite flower.  Couple them with cute hedgehog images and I just have to have it.  This is another Penny Black image that I got from Addicted to Rubber Stamps.  This is a great website and has over 1,000 images.  Their customer service is great also and you get your stamps in 2 - 3 days on regular shipping.

I used some white primas and attempted to add a little color using my pads.  I need help in this area.  Anybody out there ever done this and could give me some hints?  I also used another Verve sentiment.  I love these sayings and think it fits this image so good.  The patterned paper has glitter on it that barely shows in the picture.  I have almost used up this patterned paper as it is one of my favorites from the stack.

Stamps: Daisy Hedgehog (Penny Black), All About You (Verve) Paper: Gable Green, Perfect Plum, white, DCWV glitter stack Ink:  Basic Black, Perfect Plum Accessories: primas, Creay Caramel - Sage Shadow - Summer Sun markers, blender pen, Perfect Plum & Yoyo Yellow brads, dinemsionals

Anni-Verve-sary 7

Wow three posts in one day!  I think that is a record for me.

I have been trying to use colors I haven't used in a while to just give me something different to work with.  I am so anxious for the new catalog and stamps.  I have my wish list already created and can't wait for some new stamps.  I am on the lookout for some cute stamps like Fluffles and the Hedgehogs by Penny Black.  A girl needs some other images besides flowers!

Here is the last card I was able to create using the sketches from Verve.  They had 5 more sketches but I was not home to be able to create a card using them.  I like how this one turned out.  It was simple and easy to create in a avery short time.  What do you think of it?

Stamps: Asian Flair, Floral Whimsy Paper: Almost Amethyst, Rose Red, Sage Shadow, Very Vanilla Ink: Almost Amethyst, Rose Red, Sage Shadow Accessories: ribbon (Jody's online share), flower punch (Martha Stewart), Swiss Dot Cuttlebug embossing folder, dimensionals

Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Anni-Verve-sary 6

I have one more sketch after this one and then I will be sharing some other cards I created.

I just love this little fluffles stamp.  He looks like he is perplexed by the ladybugs.  This was also a different color combination for me.  I like the Blush Blossom and Night of Navy together.  Needed anothe color so went with the Green Galore.  Not sure about the green.

Stamps: Lady Bug Fluffles (Stampendous) Paper: Blush Blossom, Green Galore, Night of Navy, white Ink: Basic Black Accessories: Blush Blossom - Creamy Caramel - Green Galore - Real Red - Summer Sun markers, Circle Nestabilities, zig zag punch (Martha Stewart), photo corner punch, blender pen, Night of Navy brads, dimensionals

Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Anni-Verve-sary 5 a little late

I cannot believe how cold it is here. It got down to 50 degrees last night. We also had a visit from a black bear. It tore up the plastic lid on the dumpster and the campground owner was out there with a pop gun trying to scare it away. It finally left but not after it got into the dumpster. Such exciting times in Deep Creek Lake!

Well I have a few more sketches I created before I left. This one is for sketch challenge 5. I have been playing with using markers and a blender pen to create some shading. I played on this one. I really like the effect but need to practice more.

Stamps: Flower Pot & Mouse (Whipper Snapper) Paper: Real Red, Yoyo Yellow, white Ink: Basic Black Accessories: Bashful Blue - Ballet Blue - Creamy Caramel - Glorious Green - Going Gray - Green Galore - Pretty in Pink - Pumpkin Pie - More Mustard - Summer Sun markers, dew drops, ric rac, scallop border punch, blender pen, dimensionals
Hope you like this one. Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Another Verve sketch

Julee's sketches are so easy to use.  They just seem to come together quickly for me.  I also wanted to use some of my new Penny Black images so I went with both of those.  I just love Rose Red and Close to Cocoa together and I think this card turned out really cute.

Stamps: Hobble & Cuddle (Penny Black), Thankful Blossoms Paper: Chocolate Chip, Rose Red, white Ink: Rose Red Accessories: Blush Blossom - Close to Cocoa - Creamy Caramel - Going Grey - Pretty in Pink - Regal Rose - Rose Red markers, dimensionals

Wedding Card

I am in Winchester for a wedding today. We will be heading to Deep Creek Lake on Sunday to go to the Garrett County Fair and to do some tubing on the lake. A week of relaxation!!!!!!!!!!!!! Don't worry I made a ton of cards before I left and I will be posting so you can still see what I came up with.

I needed a card for the gift and have a limited supply of stamps for a wedding. I resorted to my favorite stand by Fast & Fun and came up with this card. The colors of the wedding are purple so I decided to use those colors to create my card. There is glitter on the card around the scallops as well as on the cake but it doesn't show in picture.

Stamps: Fast & Fun Notes, Mini-Mates (retired), Priceless Paper: Almost Amethyst, Lovely Lilac, white Ink: Lovely Lilac Accessories: Almost Amethyst - Green Galore - Lovely Lilac markers, ribbon (Jody's online share), Circle Nestibilities, Sakura Stardust Gel pen, dimensionals

Thanks for looking and have a great day!
