I have wanted to do the Our Creative Corner Challenge all week. It is right up my ally with "bling" being the criteria. I love glitter and had in mind what I wanted to do for my monthly ATC swap. I decided to combine the 2 so I could do the OCC challenge.
I had to use a new set set so I chose Pocket Silhouettes. I stamped the leaf stamp in Old Olive that had been off stamped. Then I stamped the Queen Anne's Lace with Certainly Celery. Then began the glitter work. Using a glue pen I dotted the tops of a few of the stems and sprinkled on my red glitter. After letting it dry, I did the same for my purple glitter and then repeated with the yellow glitter when it had dried. Then I used the glue pen to trace the stems and sprinkled with green glitter. Then I had to wait for everything to dry. While I was waiting for it to dry I used my "bath poof background" technique to make the background for the ATC. Once the glue was dry I had to add the ribbon. This posed a challenge as I wanted each color on the ribbon to be on the ATC. I ended up cutting each piece individually so it would work out right (I'm not obsessive am I). After that it was just a matter of layering the pieces. So what do you think, will the girls in my swap like it? Here it is for your opinion.
