The Mummy Made Me Do It

Sorry about the title but I just couldn't resist, it just popped into my head.  I have another cool Hallweeen card for you.  I know you are wondering when you will see some fall cards, but don't fret they will be coming soon.

I am sad to say there is very little of this black and white paper left.  I have other black and white and I have really liked including that paper in my cards.  I think I will be adding it to my cards quite a bit from now on.  What do you think, should I keep adding it?

Let's look at today's card.  I have very little of this violet patterned paper left from Halloween Nights.  It is one paper that coordinates with Vintage Violet (yes I still have some of the 2006 paper left). When I looked at my Hallween stamps I realized that I had hardly ever used the mummy and thought it would be a great image to go with this paper.  I thought he really needed to have wiggly eyes so I added them also.  Naturally it needed some bling so I used the Stardust gel pen to dot the outside circles as well as the black ones on the Halloween Nights DSP (the angle of this shot lets you see some of them).

I used Jen's sketch for this card.  It was a fun sketch.  I also have tons of eyelets and hardly ever use them.  I thought this card would be a good one for some of those.  I even have eyelets and brads in the In Colors so I need to use them on my cards before my paper is all gone.  I liked the way Jen's card used 2 papers and had them catty cornered.  I had a fun time getting the sizes for the layout.  I was lucky in that I had cut my paper larger than needed each time so I was able to cut it down without wasting the paper.  Here is the sketch and my card.

Well I still need a few more Halloween cards so you will get to see my gorgeous creations a few more times.  I have a few more challenges I want to do so don't be surprised if I post again later today.  Thanks for looking and have a great day!
